The company is named National Processing Management. I've received calls from them before, and once when I was bored I called them back to have some fun with them.

They're relentless scum. She wanted me to "verify" my information, which I informed her she should have already if this was legitimate. I also told her to send me debt validation, but she said she didn't have to, and that they would be sending me certified documentation.

The calls they make, the messages they leave, need, by law, to state that this is an attempt to collect a debt, etc etc etc. They do not do that. When you call they have the volume on their phones turned way up in order to intimidate. Like I said, scum.

Do not, ever, provide them with any information whatsoever. If they were legit, they would already have your information, and if they were going to provide you with certified documents, they would either send it certified via USPS, or go to court, get a judgement, and have the sheriff serve them.

I selected "unknown" for Call Type because they didn't identify themselves as debt collectors.

These companies make me so mad. They must think we are stupid or something. You can not be served over the phone. I had a lady try to tell me that last year, well I told her it was illegal and that I was going to file a lawsuit against her for misstating whom she was.
When you ask them the name of the company and the reason they are calling they get upset because they want to be in charge of the conversation. Don't let them be. Take charge as soon as they answer the phone. Call them out on the BS they are feeding you.

This company called and tried to sound VERY OMINOUS and called themselves simply "The Firm". They suggested that I was being sued (quoting my address) and insisted I call them back to give my "Statement". As a final note he added "LYNDA! YOU HAVE BEEN SERVED!:" Screaming into my phone. Nasty, ruthless, invasive company. I always pay my debts and, if I truly do owe money...it is likely a medical bill that is caught up in insurance company crap. I owe no one else. Whoever submitted my name to this company is surely going to be waiting until H*ll freezes over before I pay them now. It is akin to sending an armed thug in to threaten someone who has accidently omitted a postage stamp. COMPLETELY UNCALLED FOR AND INAPROPRIATE. If these companies think these tactics will work, they have apparently never been threatened. All it does is make people angry...and rightly so. Your company can go to blazes!

They are calling my cell phone and my work but are giving different reasons for delivery of paspers every time they call. First time about an American Express card? Second time about a major claim that was filed against me in relation to my job, third time...no reason. Clearly they are trying to get my personal information or trying to get me to pay for something that I am not responsible for. I WOULD ADVISE ANYBODY THAT RECEIVES A CALL DIRECTING THEM TO CALL THIS NUMBER -DO NOT CALL IT. TELL THEM TO GO AHEAD AND DELIVER THE PAPERS.

Person claiming they have legal documents that was filed in my county and they need to serve it to me. Well if they were filed in my county with the courts then the sheriff will be delivering them not a paper server. Also I told him I will contact the county with the file number provided to see what the information is for. He said if they have them. B***s*** mister get off my phone.

Totally bogus/scam - Guy was rude/unprofessional.  Calling a landlord about a tenant stating need to deliver legal documents; 2nd call message from 'Christina' attempting to deliver legal documents & a change to time/date/location, provided case number. 3rd call message attempt made to deliver legal documents, reference case number.
It's  a scam - do NOT call them, talk to them.

My wife just received a voicemail from these people. Threatening me about "legal documents" that they will send to me and to my place of employment and that I have to call the "agent" issuing the documents. WOW! really? Half the voicemail i can't even understand what she's saying (sounded like she's eating her own words AND talking slow like she's an idiot).

SCAM, SCAM, SCAM!!!

This number is a total scam.  They pull pieces of info about you off of the Internet and try to get you to give up more complete information.  If you search your own name on the Internet you can find relative names, birth dates, partial SSN numbers, phones numbers, etc.   For my they had my name and a relatives name correct but the wrong address.  I looked up the address online and the person living there has the same name as me, near the same town as me, but a different middle initial.  They keep saying they are sending documents but nothing ever shows up.  Because they have no idea what my correct address is and want to try to get info from me on the call.  They are trolling for information!

They always end the call with a bogus case number and the real kicker..."YOU'VE BEEN NOTIFIED!"  Ooooo, so official. LOL!

Next time answer and try:
1) Sorry that person passed away a few weeks ago
2) Sorry, no one here by that name.  This is a new cell phone number for me so you may be trying to reach the previous person
3) Great here is my address...1313 Mockingbird Lane, Anytown, USA 10101.  Looking forward to this important certified mailing. Feel free to give fake SSNs or Credit Card numbers if they ask.

My husband  and I have been receiving phone call from a block phone number.  they also left a message on my husband phone  requesting him to call 888-737-7872 that they need to serve certified documents regarding a lawsuit filed against him and his brother and they need to make sure someone will be home.
i was able to speak to someone that would not tell me the reason why they were calling. which company and how much they were claiming to be owe.   The funny part is that we do not owe anything.  they were just insisting to confirm the address to deliver the certified documents for the Lawsuit.
This is really ridiculous>>>>>>>.

Debt Collector
These people have been harassing me for over a year now, insisting I am a deadbeat, and that I owe a certain company money for an item I purchased in 2009.  The original debt is a valid one, but I have spoken with the company and they said they wrote off the debt and sold it to a collection agency.  They also said that I couldn't pay it through them (the original creditor) even if I wanted to.
The people that are harassing me call from an "unknown" number.  Today, after the 2nd phone call that I didn't answer, they actually left a message with a phone number and a case number saying that this is their 2nd attempt to serve important documents to me.
I spoke with the sheriff's department last year when they tried this same tactic, and the sheriff's office said that it was a civil matter, and they had nothing to do with collection agencies, even if they claim to be an attorney's office.
The harassers told me last year that they were going to get a judgment against me, and are saying the same thing now.....I told them to knock themselves out, and do whatever they feel they have to do.  I live in Texas and wage/tax garnishment doesn't happen here.  I guess they think that if they bother me enough I will pay them. I've actually spoken to them on a few occasions and asked for a collection letter through the MAIL like all my other creditors send...they said they would email me something. I told them that I could steal someone's letterhead and create an email, so that wasn't good enough for me....it ended with them being very belligerent and hanging up on me.  Not gonna get any money out of me that way;....better luck next time UNKNOWN CALLER.....

recivced a call from them saying i owed a visa bill from 8 yrs ago for the amount of $2,331.17.  i have paid $250 dollars then got to thinking that most companies once you make a payment will send you a statement tlling balance due. the man i have been dealing with gave the name of Aruthur biggsby, the number was 18887377872. ext 522. the company name was national financial management. they said i agreed on sept1,2005 to a payment arrangement with visa and i was going to have papers served that day to my home for breach of contract. i am wondering if i should call my local police station and file a crimal complaint. glad i googled the phone number. i was supposed to make a payment in 2 days. i am not going to do that and will just wait for my papers to be served. lol.

quote: " It may be hard to tell the difference between a legitimate debt collector and a fake one."

LOL!   Truer words never spoken.    The difference between the "legitimate" collectors and the purely criminal is a very small difference indeed.   It's more like trying to tell the difference between the more criminal and the less criminal.

These people will find everyone and their mother looking for you. My boyfriend's family has been getting calls looking for him. People he doesn't even speak to!! Then they called my mother today and when she text me to let me know, I get a phone call! Consequence? I think not. I called this number and I told them to stop harassing people and if they are really going to file legal actions then they need to just go ahead and do it cause the scare tactics aren't work. Especially since they are not able to say anything about legal action unless it is TRUE!! The guy didn't like that I knew what I was talking about told me to shut up and that he doesn't even know who I am. I told him don't you dare tell me to shut up and told him what to do and hung up! Wonder if they'll call me again =) Now I'm off to report them because what they are doing is wrong. They give out too much information and don't even know if it is for the person they are calling.. They better be careful or they may actually receive some real certified documents and a lawsuit!

These calls are scam artists attempting to get access to your bank account. They are generally stirred up by applying for online loans.

Report them to the FTC at FTC.gov immediately.

If you need further assistance find a nonprofit credit counseling agency in your local area phone book or online. Do NOT give them any information.
Additionally, I advise my clients to laugh in their face. This makes them realize that you are on to them and they tend to give up.

Good luck!

Theses people keep calling my phone asking for a person I don't even know. They say "you know them give them the message" they are ignorant people. the number they call is 888-737-7872 or 909-256-5528. Everybody call them and tell them to kiss our a** and quit calling and bugging us. They are trying to scam money from everyone they can get a hold of. In California it is illegal for a collecting company to leave you a message and or to give someone elses private information.. Everybody pass this number around and block your number and tell these scammers to stop calling or to stop trying to scam on people...:) :) We can play their game too....
