They're "not calling from Qwest", but apparently a telemarketer for them? Or they bought an old Quest list of some sort?
We dropped Qwest 2 months ago and they still want to talk to the "person who handles the Qwest account".

They call repeatedly. We tell them we're not interested and they continue to call. I decided to do the same thing to them. I started calling them every 10 minutes. They said they were going to turn me in for harrassment. I said please do.

another company trying to con you into changing your qwest long distance to theirs
boss 2011-03-22 22:13:33 Unknown
it's a scam to get you to change your long distance carrier from qwest to theirs. act like they are working for qwest and con you into using their company.

They keep calling and hang up when someone answers, wasting both our time. We now blocked their # so problem solved.

Said they were from Quest when they called. When I asked who the company was, they said Preferred!
When I asked them to take us off their call list, and could I speak to a supervisor, they hung-up.

Person asked who in my organization handles the account with Qwest-- but I think that is said to make you *think* that they are calling from Qwest... but I don't believe that they are; I think they buy a list of customers from Qwest and try to sell them additional services that are not currently being obtained from Qwest (such as, in my case, long distance). The person then told me that I was entitled to a reduction on my bill-- at which point I told him that I was not interested, and hung up.

Thats what I always say right before I hang up!

Just got one of these calls. I've been a qwest customer for decades. What's the matter with them? Can't they look stuff up?
What the F__k 2010-05-14 16:39:30 Unknown
First they asked to speak to the person who handles Qwest account. Must be USBI.
What the F__k 2010-05-14 16:36:04 Unknown
Yep, they just called I told them we dont have Qwest.
What the F__k 2010-05-12 21:16:48 Unknown
Yeah, The next time they call: 1) if I'm still with Qwest I'll say "Qwest handles my Qwest account."
2) if I'm not with Qwest I'll say "Yes, Qwest did handle my account"

This number is for Qwest. I work for a small business and they call 4-5 times a week 2-3 times a day. I have told them that I can not help them and to call another #. I have given them all the info they need to speak to the person who handels the account. They said many time that they will change it, but they haven't.
