These people are ruthless. They're not only very unprofessional; they said things to me that were basically criminal in nature. I couldn't get them to quit calling so I decided to turn the tables on them.

I used my home phone and cell phone and had one in one hand and one in the other and just kept hitting redial. I also put both phones on speaker so I could hear the aggravation and frustration that I was now causing them. Then they tried some silly scare tactic and started answering the phone saying "You've reached the Department of Defense. You are to cease calling immediately. These are terrorists calls and we will be coming to get you." The morons don't realize that as they're saying that I'm hearing my other phone ringing in the background. Occasionally I would pause to ask them if they had had enough and if they quit calling me I would so the same. They said that they wouldn't. After about 30 minutes of it one of the guys answered and immediately said "OK, if you leave us alone we'll leave you alone. No more phone calls from us. Do we have a deal?" I was tempted to tell him to eff off and keep calling but didn't.

It is a company called Sparks Research. They do marketing surveys.

The gal said she was from Bank of America doing a survey. Told her, BofA does not do this type of calling. She started giving me a line. Told her no go.

Same here called at 6pm on a tuesday. I didnt pick up and they didnt leave a msg.

this is a marketing company, i called them back.

Called at noon. No message. Don't know who they are!

They called me on my cell phone and it rang once.

I called the number back.  It is a survey company.

Thank you for this post.  We also received a call from Eloise on behalf of Paetec at this number.  First thing I thought is "did we pay the bill?", which, yes, we did.  Glad to see they are not necessarily scamming or collecting for that matter!

Said they were taking a survry for Bank Of America requestingl information regarding accounts.

This number calls almost every day.  Have asked not to call but keep calling any way.

I get calls often from 888-772-7570 but never answer.  How long will they keep calling?  I get calls wanting donations from everyone from the state police, state fire departmens, sheriff fund raisers, NRA, colleges, red cross, insurance companies, and more...and I am retired and did not get all of my social security as I thought I would.  They must think I own Fort Knox.

Just got a call from this number at 8:52 PM on a Wednesday night.
The caller ID only said "Unknown Name" and the number.
Since I never answer those annoying 888 calls,
I don't know who it was.

As ALL annoying random #'s, it wasn't anything important. I don't know how these people get my number anyway. Missed a call & when you call back they have a message stating "if you were called by this number, they are a research company trying to conduct a survey". ANNOYING & pointless -- don't answer.

I get calls from this number quite often. Very annoying! Thay never leave a message and I never answer 1 888 numbers

Call from 888-772-7570 from a research firm on behalf of Paetec - I do have a voice T-1 from them. Annoying? maybe. But polite, and relevant to a service I have & a company we do indeed do business with. About 4 minute survey.

I got a call on my cell from this number and they said they were doing a survey on behalf of Bank of America.  I said "no thanks" and hung up.

It's Sparks Reseach and their doing a survey.  I have requested twice now they not call and requested my number be removed from the Database.  Apparently they don't care!

If I answer the phone, all I get is silence. My cell phone is being called. No one I know uses that number to call me.

Any toll-free numbers are annoying.  There is no message left by these callers.  The calls just harass you at home.

I had answered this call and they said "how are you doing" i said 'fine, i am in the middle of something right now" Not a good time They said "oh, what are you doing?" i said it was none of their business. I am not putting up with that. I tried calling back and there is no sound at all when you dial the number. It must be fake...not sure. I was from some veterans org or something. VERY annoying.
