This company is something else.. Iv'e been arguing with them for 4 months now. The first person who contacted me said my account could be settled for around $400. Original balance was $800 from cancelling 2 phone lines with T-Mobile and a partial months bill. I paid the 3 payments that were set up and figured that was it. For a week straight in March I got calls everyday saying I still owed $200 or so. I fought with them for a week and got hung up on countless times. Finally a supervisor said she'd note my account as paid in full, close it and send me a letter. Not the case. I received a letter a week or so ago stating they have tried to contact me several times and every attempt has been unsuccessful. Not true. Every call I've gotten I've answered and ended up cussing someone out. The employees are rude and the "supervisors" shouldn't even have that title. The supervisor yesterday told me the payments I made is not a settlement, but only payments because they will only settle for 20% of the amount. I told them yesterday to listen to the tapes from my phone calls. I called this morning to ask if I could hear my tapes and the first man made it seem like talking to a supervisor is off limits. He just kept questioning everything and trying to answer it. I asked her when I would hear back from someone after my tapes were listened to and she said I wouldn't be. She told me that the recordings are not public records and only employees can listen. The only thing they noted in my account is when I asked for them to remove my number from their call list. This place is a joke! They don't have their act together

My wife and I just got home phone service after having only cell phones for the last 4 or 5 years. Someone called from this number this morning and my wife answered to let them know that we just got our phone hooked up and that whoever they were looking for wasn't here. The guy proceeded to call her a liar and eventually hung up on her. She called back and told whoever answered what had just happened so they reconnected her to the same guy and he started questioning if she was telling the truth again. After basically calling her a liar again he, obviously insincerely said "sorry" and hung up on her again. I think I'll be calling them back.

I've been receiving phone calls from this number, seems like every two weeks or so. I don't know who this company is and have learned that it only a recording, so I refuse to answer. Each time they call, they only say that it is "a very important call to return." They do not leave any other information on what its about or who to speak with. I'll keep refusing to answer the calls.

BTW, they do have a website. It's www.sw-credit.com. I also found it rather funny to call a collection agency in TX and hear a recording of a woman who is British. Trying to throw a little class in there, eh?

I was called by a Ms. Brown who said it was a very serious matter in a rather ominous tone of voice. No other info but a reference number. I work for a lawfirm who sues collection agencies. So, I went to work the next day and called back from one of our lines. It was in regards to a PECO bill for a little over $1000.00. What's rather interesting is that I just moved from the address where I had the PECO account less than a month ago. Also, I am a divorced mother of 4 on a fixed income (below the national poverty index) and I was on the CAP rate program. This means my bill was pro-rated. My bill was always paid on time. According to Ms. Brown, when a customer defaults? or disconnects, PECO will then try to collect anything that was in excess of your monthly CAP rate. So, although my income hasn't gone up, because I am no longer one of their customers(I do not have the option to have PECO at my new address) they are going to try to collect any back amounts I would have paid if I had not been on the program. I find this rather ridiculous. I applied for the program because I was not able to afford the full amount and still feed my children. Why would I now be able to pull $1000.00 out of my rear-end? The long and the short of this is that I told Ms. Brown that I disputed the bill as it was clearly not a valid debt. She gave me an address and was pleasant about the whole thing. I have now sent a letter of dispute stating the reasons in detail and am filing suit for violations of the FDCPA. Collectors must remember to mini-miranda. And the creme de la creme, PECO will be included on a bankruptcy.

My sister was contacted in practically the same manner - they called to tell her they were collecting for PECO for $1,200 for an account someone opened using her name and ss#.  She's been dealing with a man named Rick.  She filed a police report and an affidavit through the PUC, but when she called Southwest today to request a copy of their letterhead be faxed to her so she could verify they were a legitimate business, Rick got nasty with her and said if she didn't trust them, she'd see the results in her credit report.  Also, she called PECO and they said they had no record of anyone with her name ever having an account, past due or not.

I received a call today and they left a message with a reference number. They said I had a collection claim filed against me.  When I called back they were collecting for PECO Energy in Philiadelphia.  I have never even lived in Philly I live on the other side of PA.  She read my name to me and I asked how the middle name was spelled.  It match mine -  I then wrote down the address they were filing the claim against in Philly and double checked the last 4 digits of the Social they had on file to besure someone had not stolen my identity.  All in all it was a really weird call and I have done some research on line on both SW and Peco.  I also did a quick credit check to besure no one has filed anything against my credit.  annualcreditreport.com will get you a free report 1 time a year from any of the three reporting agencies.  Basically you can do a report every 4 months for free.  You just use a difference agency for each check.

The caller ID showed a Texas number but the number I was asked to call back was 888-778-4017
phone call from 1-888-778-4017

Auto Dialer message looking for a person named Ariana Rodriguez debt collection reference number 25617404. These MORON's obviously do not even make sure they're records are correct. There is no option to be removed from their list, (AS REQUIRED BY LAW) using the 1 - 9 keypad on my phone. I know I'm a professional telemarketer myself and write an Industry wide column read by 2.2 million people per month. They are obviously scabs "South West Credit Union". As far as an Internet search is concerned the y do not come up at all. The pre-recorded message maail merges the persons name and debt reference number but give no details or a local number for "South West Credit Union". No one in their right mind would call them back at the 888 one since they are collecting all inbound info so they cal sell it to someone else's telemarketing list. THIS IS ILLEGAL HARRASMENT and it will be reported to the FTC's anti DNC staff. You need to scrub your list against the Federal Do Not Call list. You are in violation.
