Received 2 calls one from 877-279-2657 and 888-805-5492, stated they were calling from a security company and they had a report that my name was on a list from Kentucky they received for possible ID theft. Of course they are willing to help if you sign up and give them payment over the phone. I hung up on the guy, I don't know about anyone else but sure am tired of peope trying to SCAM folks

I received a total of 5 calls in one day from this company. Was told by the state of Missouri that they were being investigated and I also filed a complaint with the state of Florida since that was the address I could find for them. The collector was calling for my husband on my # and was freely giving me information about his so called debt. When I told him we had no such debt he then demanded to speak to my husband. My husband called back later and asked for a verification letter as he had never received anything nor even heard of this company. The next day we were called multiple times and that is when we filed a complaint with the state of Florida. We received a letter today 5 months later from Florida with a letter from this company stating we lied about the whole thing. They also included a letter that they supposedly mailed to us but that we have never seen.  Little do they know that I have MY phone records that have not been changed and they show how many times they REALLY called. Do not deal with this company. They buy your information from possible old paid off collectors ( assuming this because we have taken care of all our old debt from younger years) and try to get money. File a complaint with the State of Florida where they are located. Florida keeps a record of these things and will file charges against them with enough complaints.

You sound like a shill.  You decided to do research AFTER you paid them?  Do tell - when did they send you the validation letter - before or after you paid?  And how does a debt validation letter alone help you repair your credit?  Did any of your so-called research involve learning anything about the FDCPA?

I wanted to do some research on this company after I paid my debt off. Shreveport and associates called me about a debt I owed from a few years back. First they were relectuctant to give me any information but once I verified who I was they disclosed to me the reason for the call. I decided to pay my outstanding debt off the  best part was they did send me a validation letter in which I was able to repair my credit. Thanks again.

This company called me and I was hesitant but I called the number that they gave me and I didnt realize I had an outstanding debt. They settled with me very quickly and it was that easy. Everyone who is saying its a scam-this is not true I checked with the state and they are licensed and bonded. Glad I got that handled now before it ruined my credit even further.

First received a  call from 318-266-7534 a woman looking for my husband asking if he would be home tomorrow to be served papers would not give me any other info except to call 888-805-5492 and a case number, I asked if it was an actual court case number or something else and she sounded confused and said it was a reference number to look up an account. I called the number to see who it was and they said Shreveport and Associates, I hung up. They called right back. I looked their name up and could find no such business listed, I also looked at credit reports and none of them contain this number or name. I understand about paying off past debt, but I am also very cautious when it comes to giving any info over the phone. Look up your credit report if you are interested in paying off your debts and call the numbers listed there.

I received this call form shreveport services the lady wanted me to verfiy the last digits of my SS#.I refused she goes on to say I have it here infront of me but you will need to verify it before I can tell you any thing. I repeated to her that I will not give any info and why or who else would be calling trying to get this info if it wasn't who I say I am? She then tell me that she have other people to deal with and hangs up the phone.

Mind you she had call my house, asking the person who answered my phone will I be home tomorrow to accept some papers or when do they expect to see me?  If this was a personal matter you would only need to ask if they could take a message.

I have gotten 2 phone calls from Shreveport and Associates.  They claimed that I owed The Bank of Delaware some money and that I was involved in a civil suit for money owed.  I told them I had never had a card from the bank.  The first time, I told them they were scammers.  A week and a half later, the guy was nicer, but I do not think he knew that his outfit had already called me.  When I said this, he backed off and said he would have to investigate from his side even further.  These guys want me and other people to send them money to stave off being sued.  Do not give them any personal information.  They are bunch of losers who cannot get a decent job!

Someone called me from the same number and said they were from Civil Procedures Division in Texas, funny how the same exact number can say they are two different companies, definitely a scam!!!!

I received a phone call asking and confirming my residence to deliver some important legal documents that she is not authorize to disclose.  gave me a phone number 888-805-5492 to call and furnished me with a Case #.  I don't know who they are and they call using different trunk lines and different people.  I never pick up the call except for this one with a trunk line starting with 832.  Expecting a very important call and thought it was that call I am expecting.

Someone called about litigation.  Said they were from "Shreveport and Associates".  I told them it sounds like a scam!!

Someone called me from this number and said I will be served if I don't call. Where the hell is this from, how can you call somebody sand just tell them they will be served. For what offense? Do they really think they can just fool people just like that?

bill collectors will call you for a good reason ,  but people who cant get good jobs, will call and harrass you and try to scam money

I DO NOT OWE ANY MONEY TO THEM OR ANYONE,  SO I HIRED A LAWYER AND THEY ARE SUING.
BY THE WAY,  MOST OF THE REMARKS ABOVE ARE FROM THE INTERNET SCAMMERS!!    LISTEN AND CONTACT LAW ENFORCEMENT OT THE JUDICIAL SYSTEM.  THE FBI WILL HELP AT NO EXPENSE TO YOU.

Yes,  it is a scam,  They called me several times and I contacted my local law enforcement.  Then I was told to contact the FBI.  I did and they told me that they are working on investigations for places like these.  You do not have to pay it back.  Read the Fair Credit  Reporting Act. This is internet fraud!!  DO NOT GIVE THEM MONEY!!  Contact your local police and state FBI!!  They are familiar with it and working on it daily.  They will help.

THE CALLS WONT STOP TIL YOU INFORM YOUR FAMILY MEMBER. JUST TRYING TO HELP YOU OUT BECAUSE I WAS SKEPTICAL AS WELL UNTIL THEY HELPED ME RESOLVE MY PROBLEM.

Jessica, I owe no one and am not responsible for adult members of family.  Good job monitoring for the ole cation agency.  Bring the papers and then the named person will be confronted.  I did not get where I am in life by being stupid and accepting responsibility for everybody ho cannot manage finances.

Nikki, if I had debt, I would pay it but I will not pay for a family member.  I told them, bring the papers.  Then I will believe it, not until.  This sounds like the calling company monitoring the chat.

They have all your information for a reason. They wouldnt have a case number if it was a scam ma'am. They helped me resolve my debt and pay way less than what i owed. Stop robbing people and pay your debt!!!

Pay your debt people! Buying a credit card or getting a loan and NOT paying it back is fraud! You're the one committing the crime not the people that are calling you!

Got a call from this number stating that a family member has given them my number and that they will serve papers tomorrow.  They first called from a blocked number and then from 1111111111.  I told them that this has SCAM wrote all over it.  This family member denies that they have anything outstanding.

If you have debt then why are you surprised that debt collectors are calling? just pay off your debt and voila no more calls!

I called and gave my case number and resolved my debt, I suggest you a do the same or you will continue getting these calls!
