If Nationstar is calling your cell phone (not landline) without your consent, you can start a class action under the TCPA (Telephone Consumer Protection Act).

I'm being represented by the IHateTelemarketers attorneys right now in a similar case. They are awesome and can stop these annoying telemarketing practices:

http://ihatetelemarketers.com

Highly recommend speaking with them if you're willing to be a class rep.

Nationstar advised me that to block the number I was to fax,= or mail them a letter stating that I wanted the calls to cease, said that the calls would stop w/in 30 days.  That didn't work.  My only relief was to block the phone number.  Ahhh ... peace!

Call twice a day. I never answer unknown 800 numbers but at least now I know who it is. I'm up to date on my payments so I'm not sure what they're calling. I'm going to block the number. They can use snail mail!

I called Nationstar through the number on their website and they said that this is their account resolution team calling. Every time they call me they won't tell me what it's about. They just say "oh, our records were just updated and there is nothing else that we need." I asked to speak to a manager several times and they won't transfer me. They just keep repeating the same thing and ask if I don't understand "their language" that they're speaking. They claim it's an automatic dialer list and the calls are random. whatever.

Hi Everyone.
I had issues with Nation Star also. I call the Texas Attorney General's office and filed a complaint. The person I spoke to did say they have a special contact at Nation Start because of their business practices. I got results because of it.
People need to document their situations and complaints very well. Then forward them to proper authorities to have things handled. There are plenty of companies out there that will give free legal advice and instruction on how to properly file complaints and with whom to get results....

In my case my mortgage was serviced by BOA, and the actual servicer moved it to Nationstar, obviously they are probably cheaper than BoA, as evidenced by their lackluster service and the constant issue of speaking with someone in an overseas call center.
I received the pretty letter saying everything would stay exactly the same, yet when I went to set up my payments, I was told they could not do the same payment plan as BoA was doing...even though I believe by LAW they were required to do so...and then...almost a year after being forced to deal with them, they send me a letter to set up the same type of payment plan i had with BoA, but wanted me to make a full payment ahead PLUS pay them like $100 to set it up...I never cease to be amazed at the shady practices this place engages in...
Here's my advice:
1. You can ALWAYS ask to be transferred to a US call center.
2. No matter what you do, if you do not make your payment on the 1st, they will call you every day. Just ignore the calls and make your payment in your grace period.
3.Refinance with another company ASAP, to get away from these people. I just refi'd right before my loan was moved, so I am stuck for a short while until I can refi again.

This is strange.

For the first time in my life, a company called me on the 2nd to notify me that they had not received the payment that was due on the 1st. (No kidding folks!). I told her the check was in the mail and to be patient as I cannot control latency in the mail and it should be there shortly. She reminded me that my payment Is technically late (which is technically true to the 5 people on the planet that claim to live their lives to the letter of the law who think they are smarter than everyone else by pointing that out), so they can call me anytime they want, and in a very forceful way, I might add. She then got real pissed when I laughed in her face (Technically it was her ear. See how easy it is to be a nitpicker, folks?) and told her she could call the USPS and find out where it is on this vast planet. I guess she didn't want to get laughed at twice in one day over something so trivial as a payment that is one day late, and as I was laughing at her harder she hung up on me, which i guess irritated me a little, but I will choose to see the humorous side in this event.

I guess I feel sorry for the people who work at Nationstar, it must be tough having people laugh at you over trivial stuff like this.

Yes, your mortgage payment is due on the 1st. Yes, you likely have a grace period up to the 16th. Yes they will likely call you if you haven't made a payment on the 1st, although they sometimes hit me up a week later. At a minimum, schedule a payment for your due date or before. In my case, it's the 16th. I often have to wait for my renter to make his payment and then for the property manager to send me what's left over. I often forget to schedule a payment until the 10th or later. sometimes they'll call and will see I had JUST scheduled a payment and hang up. That's my suggestion if you have to wait a day or two for payday after the 1st. Just schedule it for your payday.

I hate Nationstar mortgage they bought our loan from Bank of America and it has been nothing but constant phone calls and harassment ever since. Our loan has always been paid on time. Always trying to scam you into another loan or some BS, they always send out statements late and when you call them you get the run around. They cant even give you a straight answer were to send payment. I cant wait to refinance with another company.

I hate these people. Same as most, my mortgage was sold by BOA to Nationstar. Worst customer service EVER. Joke of a company. Uninformed employees. Lousy customer service. Ask the same question to 5 different people and I guarantee you get 5 different answers. Filing complants with BBB and FTC.

They did not buy out your loan.  They only service the Loan.  It's likely your loan was bought out by private investors.  I too, deal with nationstar.  They suck.  Note:  there are laws that limit the extent that they can harrass.    Good luck....

Same thing happens to me.  Mortgage payment is due on the 1st and late on the 16th.  They begin calling about the fifth of the month and this goes on at least daily til I pay on the 16th then it stops.  Talk about irritating :(

This is Nation star Mortgage company, they bought my mortgage and call all three of my phone numbers, if I don't answer my cell while sitting next to my home phone,it is called and then onto my wife's cell. one right after the other. this will go on for days! sometimes three times a day. In one week I received 12 sets of calls.
This company sucks

it does not surprise me that this is Nationstar. They have been hounding me about refinancing! Calls, emails, direct mail, certified mail. I finally wrote an email to them telling them NO I was not interested and to stop with everything. I no longer get email or anything in direct mail, but the phone calls continue. annoying. I ended up taking my cell number off my account and gave them my home phone (which we don't actually use, so they'll never have me answer it. lol).
