@kim....glad to hear they removed your name, but they've been calling my house for a while now. I ignore unknown callers and thought my wife did. Unfortunately, my wife answered the phone while I was gone and when the lady asked for me, my wife took the message for me to call back. After I came unglued, I told my wife that companies gets names from various ways. Oh, I called the company back alright. When the rude woman told me they were trying to collect on past due payments. I told here I had never done business with them, and in fact didn't owe anybody anything. I told her to remove my name and number from their database.  She said she couldn't and maybe a neighbor had used me as a contact.Needless to say that didn't sit well with me. I told her I really could care less or gave a rats@%& about who they were trying to contact. I'm going to keep searching until I get their address, then I'm going to turn them in to that states attorney general or whoever I need to and the BBB. By the way, I determined this was a Collection Agency by reading the comments on this site.

Woman calling me telling my brother and his wife gave my name as a refernce and to please have them call her at this number!! WTF?! If she calls back I'm cursing her out,don't use me as a collection agent unless I get some of the commission!!

Guy wants me to call him about my brother in law's brother who I haven't seen or heard from in years and with whom I have virtually no relationship or contact at all.

Exactly. They called my CELL PHONE asking for my daughter!!! They said that someone I knew left her as a reference, acting like it was a job or something. That should be illegal. Collection agencies disgust  I hope you all know that you are a sickening bunch of annoying boneheads National Harrassment Collecters!

Received a message at my mobile voice mail requesting that I deliver their number to a college house mate I haven't seen or spoken to in over 15 years!  Try Facebook!!!

It is a company called National Auto Finance.  They were attempting to collect a debt and had the wrong number.  I called and explained and they removed my number from their records.  The representative was actually very courteous and apologized for calling.

Message left on my answering machine to call this number back. They were looking for information on an ex-daughter-in-law from 1995!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!    she can take care of her own debts. Don't call me

I got a message from this number as well. Ms. Green left a message for mr using a lat name I haven't had in over 23 years for a person I have never heard of.

these people are probably not telemarketers. they most likely received your number because your neighbor gave it to them as some sort of contact or they were able to locate it through various sources. collection agencies and banks will do anything to get their money so you can simply request for them not to call you anymore.

This ignorant lady (Radene) calls and asks me to TELL MY NEIGHBOR to call her back. I research the number she left in her message, and it appears that it's a stinking AUTO FINANCE COLLECTION AGENCY!!! Even though I've been on the National DNCall list for *years*, this moron thinks she can call and ask me to do her dirty work for her...
