Short version:
I recently moved away from the noise of the city, and away from my 6mb DSL connection. Comcast seemed like a deceent alternative for the money, and I set up an appointment online. 2 weeks went by with no confirmation, and I called Comcast to see what had happened. Someone in a call center said I was not in a serviceable area, and that I would have to wait until more people lived near my address in order for the lines to be run. A month went by, and a rep from (888)823-4281 called my home, and left a message for me to call ASAP in order to set a date for my installation. Upon calling, I find I have reached a call center in Louisiana, and that I need to speak to my local Comcast office. When they transfer me, the local rep informs me that I do not live in a serviceable area.
I feel like I am beng Punk'd by Comcast.
