This wasn't a call, but a suspicious charge on my credit card with the description of TAS Travel Services and this 888 phone number.

I got a $48.00 charge from TAS Travel Services 888-829-0024 when I used my Wells Fargo Rewards program to get airline tickets. My booking confirmation did show the number of rewards points used PLUS a $48.00 fee.

No telephone call, but a charge on my AMEX statement in the amount of $104.26 to TAS TRAVEL SERVICES.  This was puzzling, but I figured out it was the extra insurance charge I accepted when I rented a car from Enterprise Rent-A-Car.

I'm investigating a charge from TAS on my statement.  The phone number on the statement is incomplete so I can't even try to call it, but the opening digits look the same.  I have spent over an hour and a half on the phone with RCI (mostly on hold and being transferred around) before I finally got to someone who was able to validate that this is a 3rd party hotel reservation charge.  I informed them of the stone age quality of their online accounting system in that we are not able to view any of our RCI transaction information at all.  I also told them about this complaint site and that it looks like a lot of people are having the same problem and wasting a lot of time trying to figure out these mysterious charges from TAS that cannot be easily confirmed in any way.  I told them that some people are even wondering about doing business with RCI period.  I told them that if this ever happens to me again I will no longer be doing business with RCI because I don't have the time, energy or patience to go on a wild goose chase trying to figure out whether some credit card charge is fraudulent or not.  The gentleman assured me that they are aware of this problem and that my complaint will be forwarded to his superiors.  For what it's worth.

I agree, RCI has the least transparent, most confusing and difficult to navigate website and accounting system of any company or bank I have ever done business with.  They are hands down the worst.

I, too, found a charge of 64,66 on my Amex statement this month from TAS* TRAVEL....and had no idea of the source...and phone number is still invalid...I did use some of my elite rewards points to make a hotel reservation...how will I be able to prove that this reservation has been paid for in advance as it is very far in advance...we should all notify Elite Rewards that this is a very poor way to do business....I have been with this awards group since the early 1980's when it was Ramada Business card...I think they are about to lose a long time customer!

This #, along with TAS Travel Services was on my credit card bill. At first I wasn't sure where this charge came from. It is legit. Apparrently when I redeemed reward points to purchase an airline ticket, the fare was over the total amount the redeemed points would allow. Therefore, the remainder of the fare was charged to my credit card through TAS Travel Services. Mystery solved, and I hope yours is too.

RCI has so many charges that it seems like a scam most of the time.

Glad I found this website.  Tried to call the number also but to no avail.  I had two charges on my credit card.  My husband said that one charge was a processing fee to use our RCI points (Timeshare) and the other fee was to book a rental car.  Next time, he calls, he will complain about the invalid phone number on the credit card bill.

I received a charge of $24 from this number in August and I called the number and it is still disconnected.  Now that I see these posts, I did book air tix using miles thru Wells Fargo Rewards.  Thanks for helping me figure this out.

Yes, I thought it a fraud too until I figured-out it is the Travel Agency that gets the booking fees when you use your RCI points.  Yes, the number you quote still appears opposite the charge on your credit card statement and it is still not a working number....
