Called last eve. I called back, got answering service. They RAE a loan modificatiom business. I asked to be removes, she wanted name address etc, I replied "I don't see why you need that info to return my #" She agreed, took my #, SAID she would remove it, she was very nice, professional.

I got the same kind of message. It sounded automated saying my modification could be denied.
I just got a mod from B of A but I don't believe it was them.

Got a call from this number, Recorded message. They didn't identify themselves other than saying the call is from Loan Compliance Department. Which Lender/Servicer? Any ideas on how to determine who is really behind this call and take appropriate action to protect consumer rights?

They called me in the middle of the night; I do have a loan mod pending but not with them, whoever they are! They sound like scam artists to me.

No message, just a recording telling me to hold on, or my loan modification could be in jeopardy. Yeah, I don't have a load modification in process, so whatever.
