They've been calling several times a day for several weeks.  I've not answered yet.  I didn't think they were legitimate.  Now I'll have no problem telling them no and ask to be taken off their calling list.

Very annoying.  Caller laughed when I asked to speak to their supervisor to have my number removed from their list.

I received a call from a The National Children's Foundation.  I decided,after saying I would contribute, to check out.  I could not find anything on internet with the address of this foundation (6689 Orchard Lake Road, #321, West Bloomfield, MI 48322.  Also listed was a previous phone number of 800-217-3189 and the current number 888-276-2950.  I observed, the little stick person on the envelope with the stars in their hands, was just a tiny bit different in the position of the logo.  Just fyi to anyone else out there that has been contacted by, I believe, scam organization.  If I am incorrect, will someone please let me know.

They called our house today. When I asked them to please remove me from their calling list they laughed and said no! I hung up. The FCC should really follow up on this scam.

I agreed to make a donation to this organization but decided to check on them afterwards.  The letter arrived with the phone number of 1-888-851-4682.  the National headquarter's address is listed as 7316 Avenue U, Brooklyn, NY. 11234.  The address to which they wish me to send the check is

have been receiving calls from this number for a while with no message being left.  The "lady" specifically asked for me. I asked if I could help her. She knew I had donated to the National Leukemia Society last year. Told her I was retired now and was not donating to causes as much as I could - the only 2 I was donating to was St. Judes and the Koman Foundation/Amer. Cancer Society. She mumbled something and I was ready to tell her in the future maybe I could help, but SHE HUNG UP!!  Now if that is the way that associations want their people to be, I'm lucky they receive anything.The calls were these many times:
FEB 16th: 9:30am, 11:30am, 2:17pm, 3:37p.m. FEB 17th: 8:51am, 4:02pm; FEB 18th: 5:12pm-that when she hung up and today is only WED!!!  That's not counting all the other times during the past months that they have called. If they are not real people I hope they are caught and punished.  If they are real associates - SHAME ON THEM.

This number calls everyday at the same time 1-888-851-4682. I answer on the second or third ring no one says anything.

Called and a woman stated she was from some Children's Leukemia foundation and when I asked for her call-back number, she started to falter, started to give me an 800 number, then hung-up. I've been having some serious problems with these people. I reported one number to the FCC and it stopped for awhile. Now their back at it......

just called me and did the one thing I won't tolerate. I said "hello" and the gal on the other end answered "HELLO" as though she had asked it several times...hung up and googled the number...there you go..

We got one of those calls twice today. I wish something could be done about these bogus charities. I called back on the number after hours and found it is the number mentioned.

I have received calls from this number off and on for quite a while.  I do not answer.  My voice mail message notifies callers that I do not answer unless the caller is known to me (per caller ID) and to leave a message with a call-back number if it is important that we speak. No messages ... suprise, surprise. The sad thing about this bogus Leukemia foundation is that I think my name or number was obtained because I made donations to legitimate cancer fund-raisers, having lost my wife to cancer.  If anyone else stopping by this site has a similar situation, please leave a comment to that effect. Maybe it will help somehow.

Called tonite @ 7:50...asked for Mr.______ I asked what they wanted...she said oh, I can talk to you Mrs. _______I am so and so from NCLF...I told her I looked up this # on the internet and while I was trying to tell her i\what I found she got rude and said WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU LOOKED UP THIS # ON THE INTERNET?.....I told her NEVER to call this # again...she was still talking when I hung up....My husbands mouth was hung open and I told him this was a bogus charity from what I have found...we will see if they call again!

IMHO, National Leukemnia Children's Foundation 1 888 851 4682  (Note Phone ID misspelling of "Leukemia") is likely a scam.

I'm in the Do Not Call Registry. They call sometimes 3 times per day.

I'm on the National Do Not Call Registry but these guys keep calling. My instructions on my answering machine are to take my name off their list if they are telemarketers and to leave mesages otherwise.............they keep calling.

It appears to be a scam organization taking on the real one's name.  I never give payment to charity over the phone from a cold call.  I tell them to mail to me.  So I get the package and all the paperwork seems legitimate but right after a write the check I decide to just Google them.   It's on the Detroit News website they are a sound alike.  http://detnews.com/article/20090825/OPINION03 ... -local-P.O.-box  

Had a similar experience with another Illinois charity for Vets.  Googled the address and it was a strip mall.  

The real charity's donation form will have you mail to 7316 Avenue U, Brooklyn, NY.  Funny the scammer's contribution form had the real URL of the charity.  Guess they hope to dupe many people who won't take the time to check.  

I printed the real form and mail it off with some of my own comments.  I hope they don't call back.  I will never give over the phone.

Caller identified himself with the Luekemia foundation and when I said we already give to other charities he hung up on me without saying goodbye.  What a piece of crap he is.  This organization should not be called a charity it should be called "rude".  I recommend that no one give to them.

I got a few calls from this number yesterday evening, but they hung up when I answered. I did a search for it and found this page. When they called again this evening, I just told them they had the wrong number. Hopefully that'll get me off their calling list.

Have received numerous calls from his number, when I answer no one speaks. I have been told that this is the Childrens Leukemia Assn. I guess they are looking for contributions, they are becoming very annoying.

These phone calls just started for me today.  I had no idea who it was, because on my caller ID, it shows up as Natl Childrns Le with the number.  I got so fed up with not knowing who it was, I Googled the number and that's how I came across this site.  So far they've called my home 5 times today starting at 10am.  5 calls in 5 hours and they haven't left a message yet.  Do they stop calling if you tell them to?

I receive calls from this number continuously.  I finally picked up the phone.  The caller, a male voice, asked for me by my last name.  I did not acknowldge it.  I asked who they were.  Again they asked for me by my last name.  I asked what did they want, and from where they were calling.  He said it was a "courtesy call" and he hung up.

Well, this number has been calling me religiously for the past two weeks?They never leave a message and when I get home from work I usually have about six messages, all from this 888-851 4682 number.  When I called back, I get a recording that I have reached the Leukemia center.  Well, last night at approximately 8:30 PM, the phone rang, from that annoying number, I wasn?t going to pick it up, however, I did,?it was the last straw!  There was someone there, and they said, ?Sandra??and I said, ?Do not call me again, you people are relentless, you call my house six times a day, never leaving a message and I?m tired of it?stop.?  Then?I HUNG UP!  So, I?ll see if I get anymore of those messages today while I?m at work.  Sometimes you just have to be as rude as they are!

My mom used to work for the actual "Childhood Leukemia Foundation" which I would like to point out is a different organization than the one who keeps calling me.

Trying to call them back to be taken off the list is impossible; it leads to a computer system that asks for the party's extension, and 0 doesn't work.

3 CALLS IN ONE NIGHT ANNOYING WISH I COULD BLOCK THEM OUT.

I have received numerous calls from this number.  Most of the time the caller hangs up; always hangs up if my husband answers.  When I ask who is calling the caller hangs up.

Several calls a day since early Sep 2007.
