Suing is an option.

If Discover is calling your cell phone (not landline) without your express consent, you can start a class action under the TCPA (Telephone Consumer Protection Act).

I am being represented in a TCPA case by the IHateTelemarketing attorneys:
http://ihatetelemarketers.com

Highly recommend speaking with them if you're willing to be a class rep.

Just got a call & voice-mail from this number.  VM identified the caller as Discover Home Loans who asked for someone I've never heard of in reference to their request to refinance a home loan.  Don't know how they got my cell phone number, but it will be blocked from now on.

Got a call and voice mail from Discover Home loans. This was a legit call. May come up as LendingTree or others as they fall under the same mortgage/financial conglomerate.

I got an email with this number attached.  The email claims to be from Discover Home Loan inquiring about my Home Loan application. Al though I have applied for Home Loan months ago, it wasn't with this company.   In the email they listed their call back number is  888.866.1212 x.4373  and suggest to call or just respond to this email with your goals and I'll be happy to answer your questions. Not sure if this is the real deal, but I don't think so given the fact I have not applied for a Home Loan with them.  The Loan officer name within the email is Chris Ames Sr. Mortgage Banker and gave NMLS#.

I agree, nevertheless, with the other entries which suggest fraud... Thus, I would avoid contacting them, at all..

It's Discover Home Loans.  They call almost immediately after submitting a loan inquiry through their website.

The company is actually Discover Home Loans. You can check www.discover.com or https://www.discover.com/home-loans/help-center/ that they are part of discover credit card company. They may be affiliated with lendingtree.com though as they were first to call after filling out the form on lendingtree.com.

My number indicated Discover loans, and he asked for my SSN, which they already have.  I think it's a fraudulent ploy.

I received a legitimate call from this number because I applied for refinancing through Lending Tree. I googled this number because I forgot the actual bank that called me.

I did an online generic search for loans and started getting calls from them within about 5 minutes.  When I called the number back, I got some bizarre message about meeting interesting singles in the area.

When I answered the call, they told me they were in an outbound call center and couldn't give me a phone number to call.  I flat out told the representative that I didn't believe that she was actually calling me from Lending Tree but rather was a phishing operation and we hung up.
