Same problem they should be fined and shut down. Twice in 5 minutes this is BS!!!

OMFG  it doesn't show a name, BUT THEY HAVE FRIGGING CALLED ME 8 times today starting at 8am. and its only about 7 pm, im sure they will try some more, and then right after they call... a unknown name and number call me, the same amount of times, this is soo sicking, i cant even talk too them the call i pick up, too tel them too take me off the list of dont call, but there is no one ever on the other side talking, and then hangup....... and i called back, and its all static and saying you cant pretty much call them... soo sicking,

Same number as 888-880-6823. They have been calling for the last 2 weeks always after 5pm almost every day. Display as Penguin. Tried calling back the # and message comes on saying they can't route the call because of technical difficulties.

Same number same display - answered - no response.  Try calling back - get a message of tech difficulties not able to route call...

Does the caller ID show only Penguin ? or somthing else ?

I suggest you all complain to the CRTC and the DNCL people.  Get your facts together - date and time of the call... the nr. etc. and details of any conversation.  These people habe been calling me too, I finally answered and when I asked to speak to a manager to tell them to take my nr. out of their database.. they hung up on me.  If they are registered with the DNCL they are legally obligated to let me speak to someone in charge, provide exact contact information and give me the name of a person to whom I can write/speak to tell them not to call again.  This is a breach of their obligations to hang up on me, so I'm writing to the CRTC and DNCL and demanding some action against "Penguin" (who these telemarketers say they are).  In effect, they should be fined for not upholding their obligations.  We'll see if the regulatos do anything, but I encourage you all to complain to the right people about this.  No point getting angry and not doing anthing about it!!

They've been calling my nr. in the past days.  I finally decided to answer. They said they were called Penguin and began their spiel.  I asked where they got the number.  They said "from the list", so I asked to speak to a manager.  I was intending to tell them to: take my nr. out of your data base, don't circulate it, and don't call me again (as per the instructions of the CRTC - that makes it binding), but they hung up on me instead!  Now the CRTC and the DNCL are getting a formal letter of complaint from me.  If this is a telemarketer that is registered with the DNCL, as they're supposed to be, they should be reprimanded or fined - if the CRTC and DNCL people are doing their jobs.

When they called, the name on my phone said "Penguin" seriously?

I called this number back and the message said they could not route my call. I too am on the do not call and I am sick and tired of getting calls like this.

Received phone calls today at 5.56pm, and 8.54pm yesterday. Call display is a wonderful option. Will never speak to them as they ring away. If anything, I'll pick the phone up, and immediately disconnect the line. Better still, I'll block all incoming calls from that number!!! Isn't technology grand??
Remind me again what is the purpose of placing our home phone numbers on the "do not call list"??

Second time we picked up. Last time, there were no one on the line. Today, I spoke to a live person. They do the usual pitch asking for Mr or Mrs X and then proceeds to ask a serious of questions. Do you want to renovate your basement, they can do a free quote no obligation... I cut them off by answering no, not interested, but thanks anyway and finally just hung up. Very persistent. On this occasion, I can hear an echo, probably another person at the same call center trying to get another person to buy something they don't need. On the phone display, it states it's from "Penguin". Don't be fooled.
