The message I got was "This is Card Services. Please call us at 888-885-6262. We would like to discuss the status of your current relationship with us. Again, you can reach us at 888-885-6262." This message was left daily between 9 am & 10 am for about 3 consecutive days.

I called this number and 1st asked which institution is this ? They asked "What's your account number?" I asked my question again. They hung up.

Seems like a phishing scam. Always do a check and see if the tel. number matches any of the legitimate numbers of the financial institution(s).

I got the same message to call the 888 number, so after many days of getting this message, I finally called to see how to get the calls to stop.  Like the person above, the first person hung up on me when I would not give her my information.  I called again and the second person knew what credit card it was about without me giving any information (so I assume he used caller id and figured it out from there).

This is a HORRIBLE way to contact consumers!  I agree, it totally seems like a phishing scam... especially when they hang up on you if you don't want to give them your information.

When I gave the number they called, they said they were Bank of America credit card collections and asked for my former business partner. I gave them his current phone number.

Received call from company. Pre-recorded message played about calling regarding our card relationship. I immediately called the number which is 1-888-885-6262 and received a message telling me to call at mt. time.
You'd think that if a company wants to work on a card relationship they'd have a HUMAN call and they would actually be available at the time they call and not leave things up to the client. Terrible. Something smells phishy.

Do not share anythig with these people and if you want this kind of interaction, I can put you in direct email contact with the son of the previous Sultan of Nigera.... he just needs help transfering some money!

Never called me again.

It is B of A, they use at least 10+ different numbers with different area code in the US when they call, as well as "Private caller" which does not show a number, sometimes they leave a message identifying "Card Services", and give a toll free number to call back, other times no message. They never identify who they are calling for. I have blocked all of their numbers as they come in so the phone will keep on ringing on their end, but it does not ring in my home. I am not a party to their demands so I just ignore the calls and delete messages.

as a post note:  credit card companies do NOT identify themselves.  i have gone round and round with my credit card company because both my husband and I have individual accounts with the same company.  they told me they can't even leave a message as to who they are looking for, or it would be harrasment.

i read everyone's post, so i was ready when i called back.  however, they didn't ask for any information from me, other than when would i be making a payment on card ending in "xxxx".    I provided them no identifying information.  they already had it.  it IS bank of america.  and they were very pleasant when I told them that I no longer worked for the company, and they would have to contact the company, as it was a company card.  if you have a BOA account, you might want to call it back.

Got 2 calls (hangups) from 602-597-4625 with a voice mail directing me to call 888-885-6262. Real credit companies identify themselves...none of this bs about "relationships".  FRAUD.  Or else a very stupid credit collection company.

They are still at it.  I frequent calls from 602-597-4625 asking me to call 888-885-6262.  That number does not belong to my credit card company or my mortgage server.  It is a scam... don't fall for it.

I just got a VM on my cell this morning saying it was card services and telling me to call back 1-888-885-6262 regarding my "credit card relationship", though no card was identified.  I knew it was a scam but called from my home phone with the intention to tell them to remove me from the list.  When the call was answered it was an automated service saying the office was closed and to call back during regular business hours.  Then it hung up on me.  Funny that they are closed but called me less than 2 hours ago!  This stuff makes me so mad and nervous as we recently had identity theft happen to us and have been so careful.  It just really proves that it could happen to anyone!

The same number is at it again. They've called my cell phone every other morning at 8:00am for a week now. It's clearly the same scam: "Card Member Services wants to discuss your account." No bank or company name identified.

Got the call from 602-597-4625. When I wouldn't give them my credit card number they asked for my SSN!!! I gave them my phone number and they said they had no record of me. When I called my credit card co. and gave them the 1-888-885-6262 number they said they had no way of knowing what that was. Maybe they don't have Google.

I know this has to be a scam. I got a call from this "company" on my work phone saying they were "Card Services" and "...wanted to discuss our relationship" and to call them back at 888-885-6262. Except I am a temporary consultant at the phone number where they called me and none of the banks I have credit cards with have that number. So, it is clear that they are just random calling phone numbers, scamming people to call them back, and then who knows what (I didn't call them to even try to find out). There is also no way this is any department for Bank of America.

Got the same thing this morning. I have an older woman who works here who actually fell for one of these a few months ago. She confirmed her information and only moments later had hundreds of dollars charged to her account. She was luckily able to have it corrected, lots of people aren't so lucky though.

We got the call, too -- I called them and they wanted to "verify our street address" -- I asked them what was wrong with "our card" -- they said they couldn't tell me until I verified -- I promptly slammed the phone in their face.  :)

I won't go into all the details but this is (I hope) the collections department for Bank of America.  I have had frequent calls , computer generated over the last ten days that just disconnected when I answered.  Finally computer came on and gave me the 888-885-6262 number to call and it was Bank of America...we had somehow missed our payment so I was glad to get the call because I wouldn't have wanted it to be any later then it was!

Just got the same call.  When I called back I asked what company they were calling from.  She told me that they represent different credit card companies and if I gave her my credit card number she could tell me which company.  How many people fall for this?
