If you do get in touch with a person, get their full name ...

1. You should request a signed legitimate contract from Noel & Associate and their contractors.
2. Request a signed letter with a real signature - no photocopy.
3. Proof of identification from the signatory of the letter and their license to operate a collection agency, because their names are mostly fictitious.
4. Registered letter, so you would guarantee a receipt of the letter.
5. Log all the time / dates of all the calls.
6. They have all your info, so you have to have theirs to validate they are a legit operation

They are obligated to follow through with your request, as per the court of law.

We have been receiving aumotated calls from the law offfice of Nobel Daily and Associates for a Paul Rose.  I have called the 888 number and should we receive another call I will report this matter to the proper authorities.

I too have received letters from this phoney law firm. The real Noel Daley is a legit and respected criminal lawyer from Toronto who is retiring this year and moving back to Newfoundland. The "Noel Daley" who sends out threatening letters and has morons manning the phones and harrassing people, in all likelyhood doen't exist. In fact most of the names on the letters sent by these collection agency idiots are made up. This outfit is part of Collectcorp, an even bigger bunch of a***oles. I think they grabbed this name because of the association with a real lawyer. They are all about intimidation and threats of legal action. Trust me on this, they are not about to go through all the legal expense of court proceedings to collect some minimum amount. It would cost them to much. And another thing this outfit does is send letters out to everyone with the same name as the person who actually owes the dept in the hopes that this fishing exercise of theirs will snag someone.
My advice is to complain to the Law Society of Upper Canada about this guy. At best, he is just a para legal.

Yep, I too, got a call from "Yolande from the Law offices of Noel Daley" left a number, which I actually tried twice and didn't get thru. Can't be a bonafide lawyer, without voicemail! Just a busy signal.

Would these people pursue action for $600? And if they were going to...after my discrepancy 8 years ago with CIBC...wouldn't they have done it already.

I saved the message/recording that came at 8AM on my day off.

Further to above, if you send an email to info@noeldaleyandassociates - remember, they claim to be a law office - you will get a response back and the email address is @collectcorp.com.  I sent a query if they were licenced in the province of Ontario and they said yes --- yet, only Noel Daley, the criminal lawyer (and not the same as this Noel Daley) is registered, so how an they say they are licenced to practice law?  And the email received back was from Nick Michaildis (or Michailidis) of the Legal Department at Collectcorp (his phone # 647-722-6032).  Can hardly wait to find out their response to why I can't find Noel Daley on the Law Society of Upper Canada's website.

Got suspicious when I received a letter from them this week with respect to my o/s CIBC Visa account that is with CollectCorp.  CollectCorp are pain in the a***s and apparently don't like the amount of payment I've been making each month (I've been out of work 2 years, on assistance for 1 year of those 2 and currently have a pending app with ODSP - my income right now is very limited that paying for groceries after bills are paid are difficult for us).  The envelope, the paper, everything about this letter, including the wording was suspicious.  Pulled up website for them (one page only) - info on letter (no official letterhead, no stamp, nothing like you'd see on lawyers who are able to practice in this province) re: address, phone number, email address doesn't match up with this website for them.  Checked law society and there is a paralegal registered with almost same name as the one on the letterhead but address doesn't match up or anything. As for Noel Daley, there is one with part of the same name, and also info doesn't match up (address/phone number).  So ran a WHOIS search of the website domain for Noel Daley and Associates and guess who it belongs to?  COLLECTCORP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Must be their supposed in-house "lawyer" and "paralegal".  I'm not buying into it.  In previous paperwork to CollectCorp I provided proof of my income source and my expenses so they know damn well that I don't have any assets, property, etc. to pay the balance in full or even more than I have been paying them per month --- bad enough this month of Christmas there is no buying presents for my child as I don't have any money to do so, I'm in overdraft on my bank account already (and all bills aren't paid yet for December) because of unexpected November expenses, and I'm trying to figure out how to get groceries for the month with no money.  BTW, I have another debt that is 4 times more than the amount of this CIBC one and they are not harrassing me at all, have accepted the amount I'm paying them per month (which is the same amount I offered to CIBC).  I can tell you if I ever got lucky and won the lottery (or one of my relatives) CIBC will NEVER be a part of that windfall! The debt would be paid, but no further business would ever be given to CIBC!

I managed to meet my debt obligations through the time I was collecting employment insuurance but when that ran out and I still hadn't found work, once on assistance there was just no way to meet even the montly minimum.  Seems when the economy tanks and people are hurting, the more aggressive they get -- but you can't get blood from stone!

i recieved a call today saying that i am to pay 3300.on a loan that was paid in 2004,the claim was from law office of noel daley & associates,i think it is a fraud

I've been recieving calls from this number numerous times a day, like at least 4-5 times a day,and they keep looking for someone i've never heard of.I called in and asked them to stop calling me but the idiots didn't stop as i got more calls from them. I called again today n they said we'll stop calling. what an irresponsible staff working for their office!

I called and asked her to take my name off the list.  I was very firm, but not rude and she hung up on me.

Daley and Associates have been harassing my son, a minor,about a debt incurred by some unknown party. After several calls to them to let them know they have the wrong person nothing was being done. When I called Noel Daley himself,416-429-2084,left a message  that I was filing a complaint with the Law Society of Upper Canada,my call was returned within minutes. I have now filed the complaint and hopefully this will stop.

I receive calls every two days from NOEL DALY AND ASSOCITES 1888 890 9075 and its not for me , never heard of this firm . He tells me the person owes money and he has to collect. What idiot would leave a recording and expect someone to call back with an ID number. For me its harassment and I cannot get rid of him.

Like Jen in Saskatchewan I too am getting calls for an unknown person. I managed to finally get through to their 800 number and told them so. They didn't ask who the calls were asking for or anything other than my number. I asked them for more details and was told it was just a wrong number and that they were taking me off the list. If they don't I will be calling the direct number posted previously as well as a formal complaint with the Law Society of Upper Canada. I am recording all of my conversations with their people to use in court if necessicary.

I don't think you know what your talking about, it is a real office, and obviously the reason why they are calling you is because you have not taken care of your responsibilities of paying your bills, and for them to call you for that it is very LEGAL. I had this call two days in a row, recorded message looking for a guy we have no idea who he is.  I was able to get thru to a person by pressing 2 and I told them I was calling because I keep getting these calls that do not apply to us. She didn't ask me who I was or who these calls were for.  She just took my number and told me that the calls would stop.  We shall see if that happens or not.  Afterwards I thought crap, I just gave this stranger my phone number!  Like wouldn't she want to know who these calls were supposedly for?  To eliminate my number as a source to get ahold of this deadbeat if in fact this law firm is a legit agency that specialized in debt recovery and collections.  I also wish I had asked her why my phone number which I have had for well over nine years now has come up as a possible number for this 'Dean Wong'.  At least I think that's who they were asking for in their recorded message.  It was so muffled it was hard to hear!  I just hope I don't start getting billed for some overseas phone calls or some crazy thing now that I gave the woman my phone number!

I live at an address of a person they are looking for, and have lived there for 5 years. They would call me daily until I filed a complaint with the upper canada law society. I then spent hours trying to track down this company or the Sr. Partner.

I found the guy. and explained the situarion and that I have requested to be removed from the call list 14 times. it enfuriated him that I filed a complaint with the law society. he asked if I was a lawyer or studying to be one, but he is too stupid to realise that with a tool like the internet you can complain about anyone. He constantly told me I had no class for filing this complaint.

Anyways after i pissed him offf and explained myself a second time to him and that I wanted my number removed he agreed that if I withdraw my complain he would get this matter taken care of.

Supposedly it is done.

This number keeps harrassing me at home and waking up my baby during the day. It is looking for a person but when I have left messages that the person they are looking for do not live there and when I try to get a hold of them, there is no one to take my call. I am really frustrated and do not know what to do. I can only conclude that this number and law firm is a hoax as there is no law firm on the internet that I can get a hold of with the name noel daly and associates.

I have been receiving calls from 1-888-890-9075-9074 that leaves a message to call them with a number reference #905075564 and their office hours.
I have been receiving from 416-935-2848 and they leave the phone with a busy signal on your voice mail. So annoying as you have to listen to it before you can delete it. This has happened a number of times. Can't they find something else to do with their lives.

Female Caller claimed to be from a law office calling about an alleged "court order" against my person. Full of ummhs and ahhs, the lady claimed to be from the law office of "(KNowell?) (or "Noble") (she mumbled so much, the names were incoherent), (Byllon ?) AND Associates". However, as soon as she said "court order", she seemed to suddenly realize that this was incorrect and instead changed it to, after much ahhing, "a court action".

I have never received documents from this "law firm". I have already placed a complaint against the Law Society of Upper Canada with police as to the proliferation of partisan lawyers being assigned as partisan judges. This is what I faced as I sought justice in courts I found full of partisan judges starting in June 2003.

This is partisan influencing into our courts which is forbidden under our Criminal Code. Therefore, such a call from a "law firm" of unknown name makes investigation of the highly probable partisan linkages to this supposed "law firm" difficult if not impossible. This makes such calls harassment and intimidation in a legal matter which I put before our police officials in March 2004 (to the find that our OPP officers give via their "association" to the Conservatives first when they are in power and then the Liberals when they are in power). Being also in violation of international and constitutional and indeed sections of the Criminal Code forbidding the accuser from denying the person they accuse the information necessary to legally defend themselves, such phone calls become obstruction of justice.

Kinda funny, ain't it, then when another "law firm" appears to harass and intimidate two days after I send a registered letter, followed by e-mail to the politicians and the Law Society of Upper Canada, to our police and politicians warning them that the illegal intimidation and harassment from partisan paying lawyers should be stopped by our police?
