I got a call from A woman claiming to be from Sanders & vega too. Said they handled civil disputes. Not a law firm.  I was put on hold for a "senior mediator". After 5 minutes on hold I hung up.  This firm is not registered in my state as a debt collection agency.  I suspect that's what they used " civil dispute" instead of debt. I also suspect they did not pick up because my questions to the initial person showed I know about these scams and about debt collection rules.

This is the third time I've been hit with a similar scam. Almost fell for it the first time. They say the same thing to multiple people and hope a few suckers will get scared and pay something.  It's absolutely illegal. Search for your state's consumer protection agency, usually part of the attorney general's office, to get more info about debt collection rules and find out if a company is a registered debt collector.  Then report the scammers.

These scams are absolutely illegal, but the scammers are good at avoiding detection and reduced enforcement budgets make it hard for agencies to track them down and punish them.

Ok, so i got a call from the # 720-164-7558, which is the same # as a few others on here only with a different area code. I answered the call and this woman said she was calling for Sanders, Vega and Associates with very personal legal documents that were going to be delivered to me tommorrow. i explained i would not be home. The woman told me to call 888-895-7113 and that it was imparative that i do so, and she gave me a case #. it sounded suspicious to me, so i looked up the 888 # and it brought me here. i don't think i'll be calling them back.

Everyone should call and report them to The Federal Trade Commission. I did, this so called "lawyer" has my SSN, how crazy is that. I hope it goes somewhere with the Trade Commission. The Trade Commission also gave me info to make sure these people are aren't using my SSN for anything.

They will not call back -- they are scammers.. they will not care.. if anything .. show your boss this info on line..

Never give information to anyone over the phone unless you research them fully. Too many fake "collection" agencies or "fake" lawyers are calling everyone. They will; call employers/friends, neighbors, family. They do not care and they can not be found. They spoof their phone # and give fake address, normally made up PO boxes

These people called my place of employment and because I was unavailable they asked to speak with my boss (THE PRESIDENT OF THE COMPANY).  When I returned from the ladies room, the President of my company pulled me into his office to give me a private message concerning a civil dispute.  I was absolutely horrified.  When I called them and gave them my personal information, THEY SAID THEY HAD THE WRONG PERSON!!!!!  They absolutely humiliated me at my place of employment, threatened my reputation and then said they made a mistake. ARE YOU KIDDING ME??????? I politely asked them to please call back the President/My Boss and explain their mistake and they said they couldn't do that and hung up on me.  THIS IS ABSOLUTELY ILLEGAL

I recieved a call from3471647558, advising me to contact 888-895-7113 and I would be receiving some documents, I ask the gentleman where he was calling from and how would I recieving the paperwork, his reply I'm not sure, just call the number, they would instruct me on what to do, seriously please help is this a hoax or someone trying to get mone that I dont have. please help.

I have received a call from 1 (888) 895-7113 with the same deal. I am contacting my bank as this has happened before with what I thought might be legitimate charges but since payment, no confirmation or email with payment in full. The number they used before is no longer in service. This is a new number but referencing the same case number as this new number. Be careful.

I also received a call with threats to take me to court demanding money I supposedly owe to First Bank Of Delaware.  They state they sent me a letter 45 days ago and refuse to mail the letter or fax a copy.  Did you find anything out?

Has anyone received any calls from this number 908-164-7558? please advise.  Last week I answered and was advised to call 888-895-7113 and give my reference no; 577728. I called number 888-895-7113 and spoke with a veronica they represent Sanders and Vega A** in Florida and they are above a collection agency; and I have a Visa credit card with First Bank of Delaware for 1500.00 from 10/11/2002.  I do not remember opening a credit card with First Bank of Delaware.  And was also advised that a letter was sent to me 45 days ago.  I never received said letter.  I requested a new letter and they would not send one.  I am very worried, please help!!!!!
