I would still have your fiance' demand that NCO validate this alledged debt VIA certified mail with return receipt requested.

NCO is a notorious violator of FDCPA laws and has been successfully sued in the past by the FTC for FCRA violations.

VIA CERTIFIED MAIL

Dear {insert name of collector or company},

I am writing in response to your (letter or phone call) dated {insert date}, (copy enclosed) because I do not believe I owe what you say I owe.

This is the first I've heard from you, or any other company on this matter therefore, in accordance with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Section 809(b): Validating Debts:

(b) If the consumer notifies the debt collector in writing within the thirty-day period described in subsection (a) that the debt, or any portion thereof, is disputed, or that the consumer requests the name and address of the original creditor, the debt collector shall cease collection of the debt, or any disputed portion thereof, until the debt collector obtains verification of the debt or any copy of a judgment, or the name and address of the original creditor, and a copy of such verification or judgment, or name and address of the original creditor, is mailed to the consumer by the debt collector.

I respectfully request that you provide me with the following information:

(1) the amount of the debt;
(2) the name of the creditor to whom the debt is owed;
(3) Provide a verification or copy of any judgment (if applicable);
(4) Proof that you are licensed to collect debts in (insert name of your state).

Be advised that I am fully aware of my rights under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and the Fair Credit Reporting Act. For instance, I know that:

Because I have disputed this debt in writing within 30 days of receipt of your dunning notice, you must obtain verification of the debt or a copy of the judgment against me and mail these items to me at your expense;
you cannot add interest or fees except those allowed by the original contract or state law.

You do not have to respond to this dispute but if you do, any attempt to collect this debt without validating it, violates the FDCPA.

Also be advised that I am keeping very accurate records of all correspondence from you and your company including recording all phone calls and I will not hesitate to report violations of the law to my State Attorney General, the Federal Trade Commission and the Better Business Bureau.

I have disputed this debt; therefore, until validated you know your information concerning this debt is inaccurate. Thus, if you have already reported this debt to any credit-reporting agency (CRA) or Credit Bureau (CB) then, you must immediately inform them of my dispute with this debt. Reporting information that you know to be inaccurate or failing to report information correctly violates the Fair Credit Reporting Act § 1681s-2. Should you pursue a judgment without validating this debt, I will inform the judge and request the case be dismissed based on your failure to comply with the FDCPA.

Finally, if you do not own this debt, I demand that you immediately send a copy of this dispute letter to the original creditor so they are also aware of my dispute with this debt.

They are calling almost everyday at different times. Sometimes my wife answered, they did not talk to her. Today they called me in the morning, I am on vacation and sleeping at 7:55am or so. The lady ask If I feel more comfortable in Spanish, I said yes and she said they call me tomorrow. I call back, the number now was 1-866-267-2412. A lady answer I said I need they to stop this calls, she said I have a debt of $500 or something like that, I replied they have the wrong Angel Sanchez in their lists, she ask me about mt SS# I refused to give her the number and she said again they will call again tomorrow. I was really upset I said F..you do not call me, she hung up.

Sorry I put It in HTML.
Here you go

First of all guys this isn't Bank of America its a Third Party ( NCO Financial in New Brunswick, Canada ) contracted by another third party( Aegon in Plano, Texas ) to do their dirty work. Some how BOA put in a misleading option to click when filling out one of their applications, that allows them to send Telemarketers to you. You were supposed to click this option if you DIDN'T want solicitations. Legal, probably. Bad business, most diffidently. Good stuff BOA!! Anyway I have included some info about my search on this number, I should say numbers. If any of this info is incorrect please by all means correct me.

Before going any further call Bank of America Insurance Services
Do not Call List - 800-448-2755, Stop letting these annoying fools get to you.

Received a call at employer. Before the conversation started I asked them not to call my place of employment again, and by law they must stop if you make this request.  The person started with "Now wait a minute . . ." I interrupted and told not to call my place of employment again.  The response "Watch your smart mouth".  This is totally illegal.  Alot of what these debt collectors do violates the FDCPA.  I suggest you go on the web and look up some of your rights and if they violate the law - send them a letter in writing - because you could have a case against them.

Got several phonecalls and when I spoke to their representative, they pressured to take my bank info for a loan I thought was paid off.  They are a high pressure sales/collection team, no info about them on google, and they sent no written info. They are very UNFRIENDLY and use scare tactics.

They left a voicemail on my phone asking for me, the call was made from 716-636-1588(which I tried but it was always busy). So I called 888-899-6027, which is NCO or NTO and they wanted to talk to my husband, but didn't tell me why. Very unfriendly and unprofessional person.
