I received a text message from 512-627-9342 saying Hi..., I just reviewed you application for the admin asst position you applied for.  Please call me at 888-760-8892.  Very unprofessional in my opinion.

I recieved an anonymous text too about reviewing my resume...1800 number??? Come on..fake job!!

I got the 877-834-7927 number and got totally excited - called back and got a lady that said they needed to verify my job history to send me an application for Admin Assist.  Said they were going to send me an e-mail tomorrow.  Now I know it's a scam.  Too good to be true....!  Thanks for the info.

Got a text message that said call this number in regards to a commercial driving position i applied for, I called and a woman answered and wanted me to "verify " my personal information , to apply for a job, but she wouldnt tell me the name of the employer and got very agitated when i asked her questions. I got a bad feeling and told her I would pass on it. I think this is a scam and they are probably selling your personal information. Its F****d that they try to capitalize on your hopes for a job offer, to con u.

Got a text from 704-909-9897 asking me to call 877-834-7927 about a job I applied for.

After reading all these post they must have a new # this just happend today May 28, 2011. I got a text from a 512-627-9342, saying they rec. my resume & to call 1-877-834-7927. It sounded weird to me so I googled it & found this site so THANK YOU & BEWARE OF THE NEW #!

I got a suspicious text from them as well. Apparently, they use your first name to disarm you and ask you a bunch of BS questions. Bottom line, they are not the employer and most likely phishing on Craigslist ( a scammer's paradise) . I did speak with them and only answered a few questions.

The creepy thing is that they have all of my information on their data base. I checked out their address from the email and the directory doesn't list them.

got the same message with 2 different nums to call so I called the 407 803 3587 number and the guy new my name instantly.  He said they are a 3 rd party verification to ensure what was on my resume was accurate.  Then he said the 'employer is confidential' but he is emailing me a passcode to log in to a system....WTF?  What happened to  interviews?

Yea so i got the message which was the same as everyone's here except mine is from the number 2672946496 telling me to call tha 888# about a position.......I"m sure its from craigslist....damn scammers.....not even going to respond....

I received a text message of all from a perspective scam job. first of all the first indicator should be no real job agent would text you about a job so i knew right away the words scam sounded like a sharp renounder.I received the message: from 512-827-6432 which is located in Austin Texas i found that out through reverse phone searches else where. It said: Hi(my name) I just reviewed your application for the customer service position you applied for. please call 888-907-0920. as mentioned through a text. If these scammers want to be believable they must first stop being idiots. texting a job offer-come on how dumb can one be. If you get a job offer through a text then yea it's some scammers out there offering fraudelent fictious facts. It's a shame in such economical troubles with 80% joblessness in the nation that people would play such games. May G-d judge there actions and find them guilty

Someone texted me about my resume and didn't even leave their name or company information.... I find this highly unacceptable.

Just received a text message about a Customer Service job.  Won't answer it because they left no message or company name.  Called it from another phone and a recorded voice said "This is the Employer Network.  Please hold while I connect you to an agent."  I hung up. There is a company located in Ocala, FL. by that name.  They might be a headhunter or an employment agency.  But their M.O. smells like a scam.

Got texted (?!) about a resume I had sent; like other reports on this number have stated, no company name was given. I called. When pressed, they said that the company had wished to remain anonymous. Really? While they didn't ask any invasive questions, it's just fishy.

I got an anonymous text message from Phone # 813-541-4008
which tells me to call #888-907-0920. When I called the number a man comes on stating he's with a company called the Employer Network. He told me that their company is out of Orlando FL.He asks a series of question; some are confirming my email address and phone number. He does state that they ARE NOT the employer.  

This does not seem like a legitimate company AT ALL! I'd be leary if you get a text message from them.....

Received a text message regarding a position in which I had submitted a resume.  The text says "Hi Denise, I just received you application for the position you applied for.  Please call me at 888-907-0920"  No name or company name provided

Wow, this is some really skeptical stuff here.
The text message was the same as everyone
else just the originating number for me
is 678-209-9980.. I'm sure when I call it some
clow will pick up or it won't be accepting
any inbound calls. One things for sure
I only applied to jobs on Craigs List and my
computer kept a copy in my sent folder
so once I narrow it down I'll make sure to
spread the word... SMH, I have no TOLIRENCE
for BAFOOLARY I'm looking for work not
scams....

Just got the same texts....craigs list is full of nothing but scammers who post job postings.  Watch out and delete your address and other information from your resume before you send it; if all you have is email or phone, the a real company can get ahold of you if they need you.  Thanks for the tips on this number!!!  Mine was from...407-803-3587

As popular as text messaging has become - it is not the professional way to do business. Not going to waste my time.

Question: If we can't go to craiglist.com to find jobs which seemed to be the best source .does anyone know of a better location to search jobs where scammers aren't at? I have been to careerbuilder, there it's the same problem. I think the best way is to locate actual companies and apply directly to them without using failed systems like as mentioned. craigslist,carrerbuilder,monster,snagajob. all job machines are open to scammers who seek your social security,credit reports,address etc. never give your real address,real name and never list your phone numbers on your resume to these machines. I learned that the hard way-thou i didn't give my credit history or sss number which would be completly idiotic. The best precaution is early warning signs.

I received this text yesterday at 12:45 PM.  It was from number 704-936-6232 requesting I call this number.  What jerks, preying on the jobless.

i got the same except call as you did about school and a job and they would send me a application tomorrow about a job here in Nevada... It looks like their WORKING the whole county anybody who needs a JOB.......PLEASE DO NOT ANSWER THESE CALL OR TEXTS !!!!!

Don't waste your time calling the number 888-907-0920. This is NOT a  Employer Network. This is a telemarketer. working for colleges. They want you to sign up for college courses, pay them money and you get to look for a job with their degree.

The text I recieved was from the number 407-803-3587 which is a Orlando, FL number.

Same here: A text to call 888-907-0920 from a 424 number.  My inquiry was for a warehouse position off of San Diego craigslist.

Got a call from them saying they reviewed my application for the operator position.  I will not call.

just got the text this morning.  i called they knew who i was when i called which was weird.  they asked me a few questions, where i want to be in a few years, blah blah blah.  said they would send the information to the employer and ill get an email from them tomorrow with an application.  then asked if im interested in going back to school and he can get all this information for me from advisors the company worked with, said no not interested he said ok i send the info in you will get an email tomorrow.  it felt like a scam but who knows, i guess ill see tomorrow when i get the email and see if the company is legit.  It was for a driver job on craigslist
