Hey Joe:  Didn't you get the message.  DON'T ANSWER THE PHONE IF YOU DON''T KNOW THE CALLER  Their computer is set to disconnect after 3 rings if you don't answer.  . When you hit the speaker button you in fact answered the phone and their computer signaled a working phone number A SUCKER  Its a computer generatered call.  THERE IS NO ONE THERE UNTIL THE COMPUTER NOTES A REAL VOICE WHICH ALSO NOTES "A REAL SUCKER IS ON THE LINE"  If you talk or press any numbers on the phone you could be ordering a FREE SECURITY SYSTEM that will cost you dearly.  Ignore the 3 rings.  Wait till you get the fake calls from "MOD" -March of Dimes--ADA-American Diabetes Association, Huckabee,etc or the ones that say WASHINGTON D.C., GEORGIA, ATLANTA, ETC.  These are all fake.  If you want to donate to an organization call them or mail it directly to them.  The phone calls are all SCAMMERS.  You opened yourself up to all of them.

Call received 3/18/14 in the a.m.  Caller ID:  "Toll Free Call"....now who really cares if the caller is calling "Toll Free"??
Not me!   It is my practice to ignore any call with that caller ID on it, or any call where I don't recognize the number.
Then I do a Google search on the number to confirm that it's a scam call.   NEVER call the number back!
This number will now be blocked on my phone system.

Two calls an hour apart today.  Nuisance scammers - three rings and a hang up.  Do not know what they want, do not care.  No caller ID; never answer unknown numbers or names.

8889958163 has called 20 times, 6 today and it rang 3 time and hung up. Guess that's because yesterday when they called 5 times I hit the speaker button and then the mute button it took them any where from 30 seconds to a minute and a half to hang up. Before that they called once or twice a day.

We receive several calls a day from this number and no one ever on the other end of the line.  They never leave a message.  They call 6 to 8 times a day.  They need to be shutdown.

If you don't know the caller, DON'T ANSWER THE PHONE  I guess you don't watch the 10:00pm news on channel 4 about the scam phone calls.  Its people like you that talk to these robo calls from call centers.  Let the phone ring, it is only going to ring about 3 times because that is how their computer is set up. Channel 4 also advised everyone NOT TO PRESS ANY BUTTONS ON THE PHONE.  rEGARDLESS OF WHAT BUTTON YOU PUSH YOU MAY BE ORDERING A SECURITY SYSTEM FOR ABOUT $1000.  Ignore them.  THE DO NOT CALL LIST IS A GOVERNMENT FRAUD AND DOES NOT WORK.  THAT IS WHY THESE CALLERS CONTINUE TO CALL.  The do not call list must be purchased from each state and federal government and changes every second. Telling them that the "Attorney GenerAL" IS GOING TO GET THE INFO IS A BIG JOKE Once you answer a robo call it activates their computer that says that the number it just called is a working number and if you answer and talk it signals that they got a SUCKER..............................................

I answered a call from this number and the guy said he was from DB Construction and that they would be doing free roof inspections in our neighborhood (and gave the name of our neighorhood). I immediately told him I'm not interested and that we are on the attourney general's do not call list. He asked if I had "renewed the listing this year". I told him I know you don't have to renew the listing and that I will report him. He continued to argue with me until I hung up on him.

Keep getting calls from this number with and Indian gentleman claiming he's from Microsoft and we have issues with something our computer is sending out. Does not sound legit. Asked him to quit calling or I'd report the number to the Attorney General's office.

These bottom feeders just called me again.  Not anymore.  Thank god for these new phones with built in call block capability.

I advise everyone to invest in one of the newer phones.  Love my Panasonic KX-TG6844B

01/16/2014 440pm, 1-888-995-8163, Patricia, Easy Home Solutions, called offering a free roof inspection.

Constant harassment from this number.  Calls 4-5 times a day, shows as unavailable. Of course we never answer, but still irritating to listen to ring throughout the day.  Yes, we're on all DNC lists.

This number calls my house 4 to 6 times daily, then hangs up when answered. If you call back, it hangs up on you.

Whoever it was doesn't know how to leave a freakin message.

They have to be a call center and hired guns. Today they are calling for a local roofing company. We had a bad hail storm here and many Fly By Night and even local roofer have hired these people to call and call and call. Do not call lists are a joke. Federal and State enforcement of these lists are a joke

Hail damage big around here. Message says rooferers in area will call back. All.
Again step up and purchase a call blocker. My phone handled 30 numbers, too many out there. beat them at their own game and block every one that comes in. DNC list does nothing as so many numbers are spoofed, faked, or they just don't care.

THE DAY I ANSWER A CALL FROM THESE PEOPLE WILL BE SAME DAY THE SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS WIN THE SUPER BOWL.

When the call asking for the person who handles that account, I tell them we no longer have that account and the person who handled that account  was laid off.  They have no response to that

I tell them they have reached the wrong number,  and there is no one living at this home with that name.
Then I tell them I am just the housekeeper and that my boss will be home at midnight tonight, and if they will leave me their home phone number, I will be sure to have my boss call them back at midnight when he gets home. Funny - they never seem anxious to give me their home phone number so that we can call them back at midnight? I always wonder why?

I have call blocker on my home line--panasonic phone--I can call block ALL numbers--its fun to see them ring once--then nothing---

These people called and when I picked up, no response.

I called the # back and got a recording @ One Time Construction and called about recent storms and roof damage and want to have someone give a quote.

SCAMMERS - This is another Low Life group trying to rip you off.

I don't know who they are or why they're calling. I don't have a CenturyLink account (whatever that is) and if Verizon really wants to contact me, they  have my number ,my address and email.

They called me asking for the person in charge of our centurylink account. They never want to leave messages and hang up whenever I ask if this a sales call.

They called my work and to inform me our number (we have numerous) was up for a discount. They try to make you believe they are calling from your carrier, ours being AT&T, but I'm to their game and told her not to call again and hung up.

I am sick of these "phishing"/scam calls!! Wish there was a way to BLOCK THEM.

Hung-up leaving no message. Apparently, caller ID was spoofed. mrnumber reports: "888-995-8163 is not a valid number. If you are sure that you got a phone call from a number beginning with this prefix, the caller may have 'spoofed' caller ID."

This # called repeatedly.  I answered.  There was a pause, then a person said, "I am trying to reach the person who handles the Verizon telephone account."  I identified myself as being that person.  Then the person abruptly hung up.  I tried to call back but the call does not go through.
