Got a call from Baker Edwards.

Is this Miller and Levine the same people as Baker & Edwards?  We gave Baker & Edwards a past due account to collect back in Feb of 2009, and were told about a year later that they couldnt collect it.  We now have reason to believe that it was collected.  The number that we have for Baker & Edwards is 888-996-9908.  Thanks for the help.

The Governor?s Office of Consumer Protection's Criminal Investigation Division is conducting an investigation of Miller and Levine in connection with allegations of theft, racketeering, and telemarketing fraud in a debt collection scheme allegedly operated from their offices at 187 Ben Burton Circle, Bogart, Georgia.

On September 28, 2010, the Office's Criminal Investigation Division served a search warrant during a multi-agency raid at Miller and Levine?s offices. As part of the raid, computers and client files were seized.

Consumers who have a complaint about Miller and Levine or feel that they have been a victim of any deceptive or illegal practices should send a typed explanation of their complaint, along with a copy of their contract and all correspondence with the business to:

They were Raided by the Feds and shut down

I received a call from Baker & Edwards to see if they could collect on any outstanding debt. I gave them information on one outstanding debt. I was skeptical and started researching them but had already offered information on the debtor. I never paid them anything or signed any paperwork. After several calls from them to get paperwork back, the last of which included nasty language by the B&E rep, I cut off relations with them. I just found out that the debtor paid them a negotiated amount, but I have never heard back from them.

Let us all work to get Marshal Baker (Baker & Edwards). I have copies of checks that were deposited into their accounts. Rounting/Account numbers can be traced to their location(s). They've bankd with Sun Trust and Bank of America in Florida. If anyone knows how we can use copies of their deposited check to track them down and bring them to justice please let me know.

Under what guise did they approach you. They told me they were a collection agency. I have heard that they also represent themselves as attorneys and accountants. These are both federal crimes, not to mention their conducting financial business practices across state lines. I say we all contact our local:

State Board of Accountancy
SEC

Make every effort to get something in writing from these agencies concerning their action towards Baker & Edwards.

If we all make these contacts from various states. At least one of these agencies should be forced to initiate an investigation. Just from reading the above Blogs it would seem that they have made off with millions and have not made any payments to their clients.

If you want to all work together, fax what you have against these criminals to: (800) 581-5009. I will compile this data and return it to you. You in return can forward it to every source of media you can find (local news, newspapers, magazines, 20/20, etc...).

Together we can fish them out and bring them to justice. They most likely have spent our hard earn money. However, even if we don't get our money back we can seek justice.

On september 17 2008 from Baker & Edwards account representative Mike Tarino. He offered us to collect money from our debtor and we signed contract. Later in 2009 we found out that they collected our money $1300.00 and never paid us.

If they did business with "jimmy" then they're already in Hell!

there is somebody coming forward with hard evidence that will take larry the weisel and his crew down they have f  ked peoples lifes and familys up while they sit back and think they are untouchable.well guess what___ the game is over

I think most of us would join in any group endeavor to see these cons pay...and pay. The numbers listed in the other blogs tell how to start things rolling with the police and State officials in Flordia. I will be adding my name to that list tomorrow. In my paperwork with Baker & Edwards they simply list their name, but on the initial phone call they identified themselves as attorneys. Since I am in Texas and I am seeing so many of us in other states, I am assuming they have breeched some law concerning state lines and hopefully the Flordia Attorney General's office will take that information and work with other agencies to not only stop this abuse but to nail them.

We also have hired Baker & Edwards. They made us pay $5,000.00 upfront (which in hind sight was pretty stupid that we did so...but we are a small business and were owed $66,000.00 so we were desperate to collect it. Any small business owners know that can make or break your company). Anyway, we were told that we would have the money within 60 days. They also said that would constantly contact us with updates. They never did! I always had to call there and when I did I was always told the person I need to speak to was not in or if they did asnswer I would just get told they are working on it. Now none of their numbers work...and we have no way to get in contact with them (we are in PA). Besides that...they never collected our $ and also now have $5,000.00 of ours. We totally got scammed. PLEASE HELP! Anyone with any information on how to contact someone or where to go from here please let me know. Thank you.

I too have been taken advantage off. Let's get together, hire an attorney to conduct a joint law suite. Since Baker & Edwards has conducted business across state lines we can pursue FBI involvement. Most likely they are not reporting all of the income received on our behalf to the IRS as well. It is very likely that we won't get out money, however, it is equally likely that Mr. Baker will server time in a Federal Prison. We, the people cannot allow criminals to get away with criminal acts. You are not alone.  The pain and anguish I have endured first from my client and then Baker and Edwards is awful.

I am at a loss as to how to collect from this so-called collection agency.  Rep from state agency was no help!  I'd have to file a claim in Florida.  My company is in NH!  Why should I have to pay one more penny to collect what is owed me is a shame.
