They called me today. They left a voicemail and they were looking for a name I haven't even heard of. I don't even live in Pennsylvania nor do I have any debt. Seems suspicious. Just ignore it

They appear to be searching for old records to collect debt.  Very rude and seem to latch on to anyone by a similar name or living at the same address.  They may try to latch onto you if your name resembles their records, but don't be intimidated into paying.

A relative of mine got a phone call earlier today looking for me.  They left no details, only a case number and a name and an extension to call back.  From hunting around the web, they're a debt collection agency specializing in collecting old municipal debts.  I have not lived in Pennsylvania in 15 years, and most of that time have not lived in the States.  I would suspect identity fraud, except I'd have expected some other evidence of that.  Certainly something smells fishy.

This is the firm that sent out notices that people owe amounts like 7c and 2c, etc, on sales tax bills. They probably bill the state $500 for each case! No wonder Pennsylvania is broke! This law firm probably rakes in the cash for it's principals.

Got a call today from Brett Stine, refused to give me any info and was very rude on the phone. Claimed to be collecting but would not provide any info. I hung up on him. If it was a real collection issue I would have got something in the mail.

They are Linebarger, Goggan, Blair, and Sampson; a law office in Harrisburg, PA. They do business collecting on various Departments of Revenue items in arrears.
