They have called our house 2 days last week and so far everyday this week. I get a recording to lower interest rates on credit card. I waited for a person to come on line. When I asked them which credit card they were talking about, they changed the subject. I kept asking which credit card. They never would tell me. Finally I said how much can you lower my interest rate. The lady responded 2-3%. My response to that was 0% reduced 2-3% was a negative number; that must mean that I would get paid for using the card. She said that was impossible. I said no more impossible than you reducing the interest rate on cards that don't exist. I asked her to please remove me from their calling list because I believed the whole thing to be a scam. She hung up.

I got the same thing - recording saying my interest rate could be lowered. I have no interest rates!!

I got the same recording.

Got a call from that same number. I answered and a recording indicated that I was eligible for a lower interest rate than on the letter received. Said to press 9 to be connected. In my opinion this is a spam call. It apparent that companies are finding avenues around the do not call list.

Same here. Area code 890 is invalid too.

They called my house today when no one was home ("unknown" on my Caller ID) and left no message. Obviously there is something amiss when the exchange is 000, but I Googled the area code and came up with nothing. That's two strikes, so if you see this number, do yourself a favor and ignore it, if you didn't already come to that conclusion on your own!
