I have a friend that is dealing with these people. They are a fraudulent debt collector and they will threaten to arrest you, etc. Do not let them fool you. They will ask you to confirm your social security number. Even if they tell you the right one, DO NOT CONFIRM ANYTHING. Do not be fooled. These people are trying to scare you into making a court settlement or to pay them for a debt that they don't legally collect for. Be cautious! If they continue to harrass you, contact your local law enforcement agency and file a report. Go online and do a search for United States Legal Processing Dept. and view the notes for those calls. They are trying to state that they are with the United Stated Federal Investigations, etc and they ARE NOT WITH THE GOVERNMENT. They currently are being investigated. Please use extreme caution when dealing with these people.

I received a call from these Indian idiots a few days ago from my girlfriends number.
The only time I have ever put my cell number as my girlfriends number was when I applied for an
Advance loan online  about 5 months back. And I put my name as robert.
I am so glad I found this site. I was stupid enough to almost believe
This for a day.

We have a gentelman in our office who has been getting calls from these jerks non stop.  I am the receptionist and I was told not to put them through to my coworker.  So Brian Watson told me he was going to send the cops to arrest us all.  I told him to go for it and hung up so he called back non stop like 15 times in a row.  Finally I told him he was a fraud and we had reported him to the authorities and he hasn't called since.  That is the key to getting him to stop calling once they know your on to them they get scared and quit calling!

We, too, have been contacted by these predators (Brian, Shawn. etc.).  PLEASE don't fall for it as it's a load of crap.  It is a shame that they can access (and also harass) your friends/family and work place but, they certainly can't have you arrested nor are they representing anyone legitimate.  The information was not sold to these people - it was stolen and they are routing their phone calls from out of the country so it is difficult to trace and catch these jerks.  Just a time saving recommendation for you, if you want to report them (via contacting the real FBI you will need to do it with your local field office and you can find that on-line at fbi.gov.  FYI - the FBI is aware of this scam and are working on resolution.

These people call me non stop at work harrass me and the receptionist and ask to speak to my surpervisor.  I have talked to so many different people, Brian Watson, Paul Adams, Michael Jones.  They claim they are witht the Financial Crime Division and if you let the calls go on further they state they are with the FBI.  The calls started on 8/25/08 for me.  I contacted the police department and filed a report the people above are correct about it not doing much good it is only on file but they can't do anything especially since these phone numbers are not real numbers.  If you don't believe this is a scam try calling any of the numbers back-they don't work.  They call me at least 6 times a day everyday since the 25th of August.  They swear at me they call me names they call back once I hang up.  I have told them to call the cops and let them come to my office and arrest me because.  The police officer I did speak to though told me to call the fbi.  I don't know what good they can do I haven't done it yet, but I am going to.  They have my social security number, checking account #, email and work and cell number.  I can trace it back to Arrowhead Investments or the collection company they use called ICollect so my guess is one of these 2 companies sold information to these indian scammers.

Thee people started calling me last week. He said his name was Brian Watson ffom the Finicial Crime Division and that I owed $500.00 if I would pay $1500 they would settle the debt. They also said that if I did not I would go to jail and have all other sorts of fees brought upon me. He call my job over 35 times. I don't know if this is a real debt or not but I do know it is very illegal and am so glad I found this website your comments have brought me relief. Case I am investigating received a phone call from this number. When I called, a Hispanic male answered by saying "Hello". He wanted to know who I was when I called. This number comes back to West Telecomm Location: Memphis, TN. This is not a business. I recommend you making a complaint to your phone company and theirs. You can file a police report but to be honest, it would basically be on file, without more information and it fitting a criteria, getting someone arrested is unlikely. By no means, do not provide or confirm personal information and dont argue or hold a converstation. Just hang up!

to katy herin...you are so stupid thinking we will fall for that message.
1,,you can not be arrested for a civil matter
2..you are a scammer you will not get any monies from the people of the U.S.A. were not that stupid.
people please dont be fooled by this if they do have a debt that pass the statute of limitations they know they cant sue or write up your credit report they use these scare tactics to make you make a payment and if you do make a payment the statute of limitations starts all over again on the debt so now they can sue you so DONT PAY ANY MONIES  they are allow to call but laugh at them get them pissed off like there trying to get you pissed off dont yell on the phone and say stop calling me then they know there getting to you and they will call you twice as much.
let me tell you about a call i got
yes sir we have debt for 719.00 dollars you can pay the whole amount to us right now or you will arrested
i laugh
he says why are you laughing this is a serious matter you will be arrested
i say the police can noy arrest you on a civil matter
he says we will sue you
i say you cant sue on a debt when its past the statute of limitations
now he is yelling and says YOU HAVE TO PAY THIS CEBT

he slams the phone down and hangs up on me
so make them angry if they know they cant get to you the phone will stop ringing at your house always talk nice and when your nice they get angry.
AGAIN DONT PAY ONE DOLLAR THEN THE STATUTE OF LIMITATIONS WILL START ALL OVER AGAIN ON THE DEBT...
you have the upper hand on them and they know it thats why thet try to use these scare tactics that your going to be arrested.

apparently the Indian scammers have found an "internet shorthand dictionary" and have posted again trying to convince people that this is real...hahaha...."plz aware of this ppl they r nt scam"....that is so hilarious...seriously though, if this were a real "legal" matter, would they tell you to be prepared to be arrested at an exact time?...I mean seriously, "you will be arrested at 2PM"...really?...I mean, are your agents waiting until after lunch to come and get me or something?...their lunch hour must start at 1pm, then they go arresting afterwards, so they're not arresting on an empty stomach! hahahaha...too funny :)

I just received a call from this number from a very arrogant Indian speaking man by the name of Rick Boyt, Financial Crime Protection Department, located at 817 St. Paul Street, Baltimore, MD. 21202 claiming they were coming to get me.  I told them they had all of the information on me, then they know where I am to come and get me.

They were very rude, told me I wasn't much of a US Citizen and I just laughed at him and told him I was turning him and his company in for harrassment.

Obviously the post above me from a so-called "Mike Taylor" was written by one of these thick-accented Indian scammers.  It is obvious because he thought he need to clarify that the was a, "...responsible citizen of U.S.".  No true American verbalizes like this.

But, it is good to know that they actually know that they are scammers and that we are out to shut them down, despite what names and phone numbers they use and where they are calling from.  The real FBI knows about these scammers and are currently investigating due to thousands of consumer complaints of possible threats and extortion tactics.

SO, to all you Indian scammers from the "Financial Crimes Department" or whatever you call yourselves today, but advised, we are coming after you.

Got a call today form a Mike Ringson--same phone ## 901-562-0702.  He left threatening voice mail message--indicating it is urgent that I call regarding a serious legal matter.
I am ignoring message, not returning--they are scams.
If they call you--contact your local police, file haressment charge, contact the real FBI criminal investigation unit--I even contacted the FTC and state attorney general office.
They have called before and gave me a bogus mailing address--they get rude and offesive if you question them--I was told by my bank security department to don't confirm anything with them, by all means don't give them any account numbers and don't send them any money.

Exactly the same as above,  called from 839-121-0026 and left a lengthy message in a heavy accent which I did not understand a word. said to call 901-562-0702 as it was a very serious legal matter.  But what was worse, they must have seen a number somewhere that I used as a reference, and not only have been harassing me, but have been calling my elderly, sickly father!

A man left a voicemail at my job stating his name as Rick Boyd and stating that he was calling about a very serious legal matter involving criminal fraud and that I am the primary suspect. Says that due to the nature of the matter, he could not provide details, but that if I did not call him back, I could be arrested at my residence or at my place of work. Called the above number and was told that I owe a payday loan from August 2005 from Arrowhead Investments. Said if I did not pay 430 dollars by 4:00 PM or have my attorney contact him with paperwork, then I would be arrested.

When asked the particulars regarding the payday loan and to send me the documentation regarding the payday loan, he said all of the documentation would send to me when I had paid in full.

He also has my bank information and my social security number.
