The number called me today, and a woman asked for "Nicky."
I wonder if the number might be used falsely. Is there a way to put the wrong number in the caller ID?

Got a call at 6am from the same number on my cell phone this morning (Aug 12 09), but didn't get a chance to answer it. No message left

the call display says "Nova Scotia PEI" which is mixed up in the first place - those are two different provinces (states). The Internet says it belongs to Rider BTI travel group on Barrington St in Halifax, NS. However when you telephone the number it is answered as HRG North America which somehow books travel for reward "bonus" points for RBC VISA (Royal Bank Canada)
My call display shows this number has been phoning us at our home number for about 2 months on a regular basis. Very annoying. But get this, they called us before 7AM in the Pacific Time Zone on Thu July 16/09. That's totally obnoxious. If you look at "who's who" on Google, it says that this number belongs to Rider BTI travel agency on Barrington St in Halifax. And it shows the names of some of their executives, like "Jerome William Sampson" jsampson@rider.ca and I'm sure his home address is in the phone book. Gee, we'll have to call him at some anti-social hour and invade his privacy like apparently his company does our's.
