DON'T WANT THIS CALL

Same exact numbers calling me multiple times a day. I am also an RBC customer, ridiculous how many calls I am getting "On behalf of RBC" for the last 2 years I have been banking with them. I never answer unknown numbers, if it was actually important they would leave a message, but they never do.

RBC employs these people to connect your name to the phone #  then the harassment begins from the collection company, if you have ever owed them any measly amount of money. Do not confirm your name to these people, tell them they have the wrong # and nobody with that name lives here. And never ever give them any financial information!!  Remember just say you have the wrong # and hang up!!!

Same here, i am getting sick of these calls, i have never answered them since i dont know the number. I am indeed an RBC customer so i do not know how the heck they have my number if RBC says it is not affiliated to them.
Anyway, i get up to 3 times a call per day, every day!

Apparently they all are from the same Telemarketer. Are they ever going to give up??? Even when they are trying different numbers i wont fall in their scheme.

I just received a call from the 902-442-7646 .  I can't remember specifically, but I think the caller asked  for me personally (how in the heck did he get my name?)  After the lengthly speel about the credit report services, I told him I had to check with my husband first....  Then he said , of course, and have a nice day.   Normally, a legit company would ask if they could call you back in a couple of days, which was the final flag about this being a scam.  Scary stuff!

Just called here - answered and just put the phone down, tying up their line, until they hung up.

The guy identified himself as an RBC representative selling credit protection.  Was insistent and wouldn't listen.  Ended up hanging up on him and reported the number to RBC.

I am so sick of the RBC. How dare they give my private home phone number to one of these organisations. Free credit report? I know my credit rating, and I wouldn't even confirm my name to this organisation. I'm calling the bank tomorrow to give them crap for selling my PRIVATE information.

I have others that I'm unsure whether they come from the same place or not.

ANOTHER call from the same number. At least twice a day. Leaves no message. I don't answer calls I do not recognize, and I don't know anyone on the east coast either. I see it is another scam, marketing thing. They actually had the nerve to call at 11:00 pm last night.....read my lips.......

Some one calling from 902-442-7646 continues to call without identifing who they are and gets rude when asked who they are and what they are calling about

All the above #s seem to be a telemarketer saying they represent RBC and try to sell you "Balance Protection Coverage" for your credit card.  (I no longer have RBC products)   These five #s have called numerous times over the past couple of weeks.  I don't answer them - and if I could figure out how to block i would

Answered. A man responded and it sounded like there were other people talking in the background. He asked for person who is living in our household by name and when I said they weren't in he said he'd phone back.  I looked up the number and found out who they are.  I will warn them not to answer. Thanks to all the people who post.

Another scam.  There were actually two different numbers calling me the day before I blocked their number from my phone (18003874540 and 17783833383), so I wasn't surprised when a new different number was calling me selling insurance and telling me I was late in paying my card when I know I'm uptodate.  Nice try.

Called me again today 2:35pm.

Answered.   The call was from a telemarketing company on behalf of Royal Bank of Canada.  They were trying to sale insurance service against identity theft by sending periodic credit reports.

Called them back and took the option to leave a message requesting removal from their list.
Will watch and see.  Otherwise I'm so glad my phone has a "block" option!

NEVER ADD YOUR NAME TO THE DO NOT CALL LIST, THEY JUST SELL THAT LIST ON TO OTHER TELEMARKETERS.

Just got a call from this number. No message. Did not answer, as I do not know anyone on the east coast. I see from Jenny, it is a telemarketer. The do not call list does not work. It's useless.

Googled the number....Fem Tel, a marketing company. I listened long enough to hear a recording to leave your telephone number to have it removed from their list.

Got a call @ 8:53pm from this one. Jumped it on to the "ignore" list.

Got a call @ 8:15pm tonight, didn't answer as I don't know anyone in the east coast...didn't leave a message.

Oh god, got a call from this number 8:30pm last night.  I hope I don't start getting calls from them 2x a day every day!

I answered and the caller disconnected.
