Received text from 903-224-7809 wanting to buy my dining room suit. Claimed she was deaf and buying it for her son. Texted me that I would need to pay an agent /shipper $500 and be reimbursed. Total scam. Texted back and forth for about an hour for info on how to send money and just received a call from her, I'm sure call button was hit by accident. No one spoke, just talked to each other with a foreign accent. The number was 727-542-1078 from Clearwater, FL

This old a** Nigerian thought he was gonna take me for a drive. Bit I've been in more back seats then a Craigslist working girl. So I sent them a nice little text message with some naked pictures of myself after sitting in the bath tub for 4 hours. Never did get a response.

I got the same text from 903-224-7809, so i googled the number and found this about the tester. so i strung them along and
gave my paypal email address. so then i got four emails from them in a matter of minutes. explaining that the money has been transferred to my paypal but is being held until i transfer money by money gram to the shipper.
So i then text them and said i would transfer the money to the shipper in 4 days. this got them upset and they asked if i could send somebody to transfer it as they were waiting on the payment. I then explained that being an FBI agent i travel a lot.
i have not heard back from these scammers.

Similar results as mentioned above.  Mentioned being a deaf woman and wanted to purchase for son.  Insisted on paypal as well.  I informed them via text that I've contacted a buddy in law enforcement and to try a different hobby.  SCAM ALERT for sure!

Three red flags right there:
1. claiming to be deaf - so you won't call and hear their real voice
2. insisting on Paypal - so they can send a fake Paypal invoice
3. refuses to meet in person

Just contacted me about buying my car listed on Craigslist (WI).  She stated she is deaf, wanted to purchase sight unseen for asking price, and insisted I use PayPal.  

This number just texted me about a car I have for sale on Craigslist in Washington State. They said they can't call me because of their illness of being a deaf woman and that she is interested in the car as a gift for her son... Also insisting with me giving her my paypal information...

Con artist tried to do the same scam on me...backhoe in Texas

received text from this number relating she is a deaf woman wanting to buy my rv in missouri for her son. insisted on using paypal. gave me the link and how to even. i insisted on western union or would set up a wire account at my bank. also insisted on the name of the individual picking up the rv for my bill of sale. final reply was to contact them if i change my mind. my final reply was i apparently figured out they are a scam.
