I also received a call today from a Michael Truman at 575-904-7960 stating the same about National Assistant Fund from back in 2005.  Went over all his BS.  I told him not to call me at this number again.  Wanted to know if the county I lived in had contacted me.

Michael Truman contacted me claiming to be informing me of two files placed against me and if I had an attorney.  The phone number he calls from is  575-904-7960 he says the company name is Case Lowe & Associates in Lincoln, MA.  I cannot find this actual company anywhere, and the phone on the caller ID shows Cannon Afb.  The number is coming out of New Mexico.  The claim is I have a payday loan which they refer to as writing a worthless check back in 2007.  The company is National Assistance Fund.  Please know your states right to collection practices before agreeing to pay anything.  The fair debt states they must provide you with documents to validate the debt and you have 30 days to pay or dispute.  Do not just give money to these crooks if you know this is not your debt or they will not give your information. No real collection will refuse to provide you information.  Do not allow scam artists to scare you into paying out un-necessary money.

They keep calling my employer and talking to anyone that answers the phone.  They informed me that they were sending me some paper work and never sends it.  I wish they will stop calling me.

I just received a call from this number from Daniel of Case Lowe & Associates. He told me he had two cases filed against me in my state and started reading me an "affadavit". He told me the person filing the case was National Assistance Fund, which I have no idea who they are. He refused to send me anything in writing and I just told him to remove my number from their list and I would only deal with something in writing. I politely told him I would wait on some written documentation and respond accordingly. I then called back and asked if I could get the address there just so I could initiate a written request from my end first. The lady that answered the phone refused to give me the address. Very suspicious. SCAM!

I called the 903-488-7898 number and there is NO David Crosby by that name or the operator that didn't give her name says so? trying to get my name or Company and when I told her that he called me, she said to get my story straight and call back?

I called them today same thing wont mail me anything states I already got bull-s*** never got anything.

I have been getting calls from this number.

I've been getting nasty calls from a Daniel Kennedy telling me that he's persuing two cases against me.
Today he called me at work, I didn't answer so he hopped out of our phone system and got another person to forward his call to me.  Telling him he worked with a legal firm.  I explained I'm at work, which didn't seem to bother him.  I told him not to call and to send information to me via mail, he continued talking then threatened me with legal action.  
I told him to mail me the information, he said I've already received it.  Nothing from them, not even sure who the two companies he says he's repping are. Anyway I finally hung up on him.  Legally he is not allowed to continue to call me at work but he doesn't seem worried about the legal side.
I tried looking up his work address at Case lowe and associates, can't find a thing, no fax either.

Daniel Kennedy called me at work twice now says I owe money but can't give details and refuses to send me any proof of the debt.  I know this is a scam and am reporting to the Como and Longview Texas police as such.  Do not give these people any money or personal information.

'Won't send me information or even tell me how much I owe. Their comment: "You should know how much you owe."'

The onus is theirs to tell you what they want, not the other way around.  Somewhere else here, I read a post that hit the nail on the head:  The tougher the talk, the more strong-armed the threats, the less likely they've got anything legit to pursue.  If they can't come up with a dollar amount, account number and ID the original creditor, no matter how nasty their talk, they've probably got nothing.  I'd be willing to bet the farm on it.

If I were you, I'd get those complaints off to the FTC and your AG.  I'd also talk to a lawyer.  You might be in a position to make these creeps pay, especially if they'd called your friends and family before calling you first.

this same number called me and i actually made payment to them last week. im scared r they legit? i have 4 more payments scheduled to go

I have gotten two phone calls from 903-488-7898. They were threatening me telling me that charges were being filed against me for fraud and wanted to know if I had an attorney. Got ticked off and called the Como, TX police department. Got ahold of someone who assured me that they would find out what they could.

Case, Lowe & Associates - 3rd Party Collector.  Daniel Kennedy is one of their associates.. they refuse to give out their mailing address or fax number.
