It came up as privacy directory on phone. It was a recording saying it was a creditor and that they are in need of collecting a debt and to call a number (which I did not write down).

I keep receiving these calls at least twice a day. There is never anyone who will respond on the other end.

We have been called about twice a day, sometimes once for two months.

I get these too, I deal with Greentree(big mistake) and it seems to coincide with payment due on this account. No other creditors to bother with and they are in Jacksonville fl.

you are off base with your comment - we know how the feature works dummy - we are trying to determine who keeps calling.

No one is on the other end of the line and reverse search indicates this is an unpublished number.  How did they access my number? And, who are they?

Yeah, I know how  the FEATURE works but when it is a computer calling. things don't go as they should. And the FEATURE tells you to press 1 to connect, 2 to reject, etc. NOT to stay on the line to connect. When you press 1 to connect to the caller, there is no one there as the computer has already hung up. Absolutely no way to get in touch with them!

This is a FEATURE whomever owns your phone signed up for. The way it works is, if someone with a blocked number calls you, this number is displayed, the caller gets a recording asking them to state who is calling. When you pick up, the recording tells you what the caller stated as their name. Then you choose to answer [by staying on the line] or not answer [by hanging up].

It's funny how people don't pay attention to their own subscribed services!

Displayed "privacy director" on phone.  Called the number back and got a generic message from Bellsouth explaining the privacy director feature.  They called again tonight and I answered.  It was a company conducting a survey for Coggin Toyota's service department.
