They are now sending emails stating that a legal action has been taken against me and that i have only one day to pay. of course i ignored the email. Just wanted people to look out for that as well.

Called for another person who used to have this number saying there was a warrant out for that persons arrest. I laughed. Was definitely Asian of some sort.  

Google your name and your phone number. Anything like Spokeo that shows up, make them remove the information.  Also here is another way that has managed to give out our information.

Well after emailing his guy back and forth, I finally received the Western Union info, and I reported that to the FTC.  I blocked his number from my cell phone and blocked him from my email.  I hope the FTC does something about this, wth, where do they get this info.  I am so disgusted that someone would try to scam people like this.  All I can think of is when I used my card at Target, is this where they got the info.  My debit card has since been changed.  I notified the bank about this too.
Somebody needs to stop these people.

I got an email from "Adam Smith" warning me of my upcoming arrest. It was attached to a mass email to about 50 people. What a joke!

5/12/2014 JUST RECEIVED A CALL FROM 904-442-9520 SAID A WARRANT HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR MY ARREST BY A DEBT COLLECTOR, WHEN I ASKED WHO IT WAS I WAS TOLD CASH ADVANCE, I NEVER HAVE EVEN BEEN IN THEIR PLACE. I SAID E-MAIL ME THE COMPLAINT SO AS I CAN READ IT. THE MAN WITH A VERY STRONG INDIA ACCENT JUST KEPT TELLING ME TO STOP INTERRUPTING HIM AND JUST LISTEN WHILE HE READ ME HIS PAPER, WHEN HE FINALLY GOT AGGRAVATED FROM MY INTERRUPTING AND ASKING HIM QUESTIONS LIKE, SO WHERE ARE YOU? HOWS YOUR WEATHER? DO YOU FEEL OK? DID YOUR MOTHER HAVE A NICE MOTHERS DAY/ HE TOLD ME TO SHUT UP FOR THE LAST TIME AND I HUNG UP ON HIM. A FEW MINUTES LATER MY WIFE  CALLED THE NUMBER SAYING SHE WAS LEFT A MESSAGE. SHE ASKED WHO HE WAS HE SAID RAY AND THEN STARTED TO TELL HER SHE WAS GOING TO BE ARRESTED FOR BEING A DEAD BEAT AND NOT PAYING A BILL, SHE ASKED WHO IT WAS FOR AND HE TOLD HER TO SHUT UP BI***!   SHE HUNG UP.

This is definitely people from India. They called with the same messages as above. I knew it was a scam, so I called them back (using *67 of course, so it doesn't show up on their caller ID), gave them a fake name and phone number. After claiming they couldn't find me in the system, they eventually "found me" and told me that I owed $645. They told me I could take care if it with a GreenDot MoneyPak. So, I asked the guy if I could pee on his face. He didn't like that and started using all kinds of curse words against, haha. He eventually hung up. I called again the next day doing the same thing. This time, when they "found me", I told the guy that I was going to f*** his mother and wife. He got angry and just kept saying "keep talking" over and over again. I like messing with these guys. Now, I call them any time that I'm bored and want to make someone laugh.

Got a msg so I called back to be told theres a law suit against me frm a loan co. Well ive never gotten a loan and I tikd thi(Asian descent) man this and he tokd me to shut up after a cpl heated words I hung uo.called back and asked for someone who spoke english to talk to he called me a bi*** I hung up..googled the # wow ended uo here called him back tokd him I reported him he then continued to tell me to (--- ---  ----) I said yea thats how I knw ur a fake ppl dont talk like that blaa blaa but I knw I mad him real nice and mad whn I told him id reported him

Called on 3/30/14 saying that i owed them money and that someone was going to arrest me. Also saying that he would my Social Security wages stopped and that he was going report me to the US government after the call was done. This is a scam and scar tacked to get money. Unfornately I did send $100 and he made arrangement to get the balance in which I will not be paying. DO NOT SEND THIS COMPANY  a dime, don't let what happen to me happen to you.

This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

I received a call yesterday 4/3/14 from William Hurt! He said that I need to be home in the morning on 4/4/14 so that someone will come to my house and arrest me! He has called before and every time he has called it has been under a different name! I have blocked the number, but he still calls only on a different number! Please stop the calls!

creepy guy on a recording left me a vcml, says that tomorrow someone will show up at my house to arrest me.  says I should call him back to give him funds to prevent this from happening!!

This guy called and said he had a warrant for my arrest. Didn't answer the call. He left a voice mail. Then he just kept calling. It is a scam. What jerks
