thats because the person who shows on your caller id isnt actually calling you, some other company has spoofed them. If you get the name of that company report it to the IT guys at the actual company on your caller id, they can pursue legal action and stop this garbage from happening.

This company keeps calling me with automated messages for some person with a Spanish name I've never heard of. I called this place back and informed them I did not know, and had never heard of, this person. All I got was "OK" and they hung up. This was about 10 calls ago. I'm almost always gone when they call. I just added them to my call block.

Just got ANOTHER call from this number.  Guy was a total w**ker.  I tried to explain to him that we've owned this number (as a business) for over 4 years and have taken calls accordingly during that time.  The guy they're looking for is not here, nor has ever been here in our existence.  Needless to say it's frustrating and a total waste of time.  Anyway, the guy cut me off and said "just say whether you know the guy or not".  It's people like these I love to help.

I have researched this issue, as I know Southeast Corp and the IT department folkes. The Central Agency uses Telcove as their local provider, and it appears that they have the caller ID information incorrect that is being sent out from their switch.  SE Corp has nothing to do with the phone calls that are being received.  If you know anyone at Telcove, give them a call and complain.  It doesn't sound like Central Agency understands what it happening, and are difficult to get anyone to look into the matter.

they called from 904-861-0204 and left message asking for me by first name only not saying who they are and gave # to call them back saying this is not a solicitation call. sounds weird. I refuse to respond to them I think they are trying to collect a debt from what I am reading here but when companies call trying to be cryptic i dont respond. thanks evryone for your help

IF YOU DIAL THIS NUMBER BY USING OPERATOR ASSISTANCE THEN THEY WHOMEVER THIS IS CAN VERIFY WHERE THE CALL CAME FROM THIS IS STUPID AND HARRASSMENT I GOT 7 CALLS WITHIN TWO HOURS. Several calls a day from both CCS and Southeast Corporation.  When I pick up the phone there is never anyone there.  I just let it ring now, as I have caller ID.

Some phone companies (ie  Cox) allow you to block specific phone calls.  It takes a little research to find out how, but call your phone company and see if it is possible.

This is a collection agency. I called them and asked for the address of the company and they refused to give it to me. They wanted to verify my SS# and address, which I refused since I did not know who they were. I was threatened and told that I was about to find out then the lady hung up on me. The threat is a violation of the FDCPA. Record all conversations with these people! If you send them a cease contact letter, by law they must stop contacting you.
