Today I got a call and they said they were from the Jacksonville Fire Fighters trying to help children with fire safety.

I received a call from Allied Interstate at 866-396-7770, who left a message saying that they were trying to collect a debt.  We don't owe anyone money.  Within 5 minutes, 904-861-1544, shown as "CONNECTING" on my id called. I suspect these are the same company.

Called several days ago and when I answered a man said it was some sheriff office looking for donations.  I said I wasn't interested and hung up.  Since then I have gotten a telephone call each morning between 9AM and 11AM with the same caller ID showing Utilities and the 904-861-1544 number as was on my caller ID when I answered the call.  Apparently if they don't like your answer, they loop your number through endlessly.  I have no idea how to stop it.  Sounds like a real scam to me.

I have received a call from these numbers too 9048611544 and 9048611592. I don't answers I don't know but after the 2nd day in a row I thought it might be a friends new number so I called back but same technical difficulties messages but they don't leave a vm. Who are these people?

These people are the rudest people you have ever talked to! As long as the Fraternal Order of Police or Fire Fighters Association contracts with these rude people to solicit funds, I will never support them.

This is a private company that keeps most of the money that they extract from people. They pose as fireman and police. They are not. DO NOT GIVE.

I am getting calls from this number as well as 1543. Caller ID shows as signal. When I asked who is calling and what the hell they want that it is so important that they have to call several times a day and leave no message they hang up the phone

I have had numerous calls from "Signal" asking for my deceased husband.  When I ask them what they want, the caller hangs up on me!

This number showed up on my caller ID as "Signal". I didn't answer b/c I was on the other line. They left no message. I looked it up just to see who it might be: 904-861-1544, and found this site. I have all my numbers on the donotcall.gov site, including my cell. I'm not sure it has done much good. I still get alot of unsolicited calls!

Got a call from 904-861-1547 with caller ID "CONNECTING" and wouldnt you know it, its the Fraternal Order of Police. I find it ironic that they attempt to disguise their incoming call using bogus caller IDs. They used to call using the "UTILITIES". Funny. And this guy says who he is and quickly says "dont be alarmed this phone call isnt for any emergency". Another nice attempt at deception.

RECEIVE CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER EVERY DAY AT LEAST 2 TIMES - NO ONE EVER ANSWERS - ONLY CALLS BACK FROM OTHER NUMBERS. TRY TO CALL BACK AND THE RECORDING STATES THE I HAVE TECHNICAL DIFFICULTY WITH MY PHONE LINE AND THE CALL CANNOT GO THROUGH.

Called at 6:23pm on 4/20/09. Caller id said- Connecting. I let answering machine pick up and they did not leave a message.

904-861-1544 displays as Connecting on my caller id, but has otherwise been successful in hiding their identity.  However, this number is a landline, and the carrier is Deltacom.  Do not confuse this with delta airlines.  This is Deltacom.com.  They have many offices.  I wonder how they would like to receive incessant phone calls about their inconsiderate customer at 904-861-1544. Perhaps I should pay them a visit in person, as they have local offices in my city.

this aggressive solicitor used profanity when no verbal response was given. this solicitor has been told many times in the past to stop calling / remove us from their list, but continue to call several times per month, sometimes multiple times a day, and a week at a time. usually shows as CONNECTING or UTILITIES on caller ID. this solicitor uses many phone numbers with a 904 area code, and a 265 or 861 prefix. this solicitor has been reported many times before. report them to:

I received a call from the same number 904-861-1591 listed on the caller ID as Utilities.  They left no message and now I won't worry about calling them back either.

THIS NUMBER HAS CALLED MY HOUSE NUMEROUS TIMES, ALWAYS IN THE EVENING. I'M A WIFE AND MOTHER OF 2 AND RUN 2 BUSINESSES. MY HUSBAND AND I ARE VERY BUSY PARENTS WE DON'T HAVE TIME FOR SUCH CALLS. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHO THIS IS??

I have been receiving the same calls from this # as well as 904-861-1547, I too have returned the call with the same response from an operator, stating that there is trouble on this line. I have enough of idiots to deal with, I don't need them calling me on my home phone too.

This number calls and leaves no message and if you call it back it states unable to connect due to phone problem

I have had several of these while at work with no message left.  Call today was from 904-861-1591.  When I called it back, I got the same message as others have reported.

this number also called my home left no message as did 8611545 and 8611550 when I aswered at one point they said nothing and hung up. They have tried to call several times while I'm working but no message. Would like to know whats important ehough to keep calling but no message and no answer at other end of line. tried to return call with same message facility trouble and disconnected.

This number called my home but never left a message.  My caller ID had "utilities" for the number.  I tried to call but had a message stating that due to phone company facility trouble it couldn't be dialed at this time.  Anyone else grtting this?
