Received call at 8:40pm. Male on line asked if I wanted to sign up for life insurance and asked me my personal information. I told him not to call again and hung up. Number was out of service on callback.

Thanks, joun.  The worst part is that we are on the Do-Not-Call list and with people being charged recently...I think I'll report this number to them.

To the post above, the Halton police had no business speaking to you in such a rude manner, and in fact, yes, it IS their job to secure homes from robberies, what do they think they are here to do, not prevent crime just cataloger it? Pathetic. Police always forget that they work for us.

Just received a call from this number (905-471-8222) and they said that they were from Sun Life and wanted to know when I would be home tomorrow.

I told them that it was none of their business and hung up then called Halton Regional Police and reported them.

I was told that they are not Security Guards, which I totally respect, but there have been a rash of break-ins in my area and I am concerned.

From what I have seen on this website I think its a telemarketer or something along those lines?  It seems like a business/company.  But if they are what business would contact people after 9pm as well as on weekends (as late as 10pm).

Luckily i was not home at the time but also, tried to call back and got the "This number is not in service" Message

Got call but if no one is there right away I always hang up. Happened this case - no one called back.

Yeah some chinese guy called to speak to my mother and I said she wasnt home then he asked about 2 or 3 times who he was speaking with so I hung up then I called back and it said the number you have reached is not in service.

Also got someone posing as a Sun Life rep. with terrible accent.  Until he spelled my name, I thought it was s wrong number.

He indicated that Sun Life would have a rep in the area to speak about investing and insurance.

I proceeded to tell him that if Sun Life was a reputable company they would observe the Canadian Do Not Call list (which I have registered with).

And that I would be reporting him.  He seemed to lose interest at that point.

Called the number back and got a message "Temporary lines" are busy.

Received a call from this number. No name on display. No voice at the other end, so hung up

I just phone back the number 905-471-8222 and it says it's no longer in use.  Becarefull!!

Got a phone call today from 905-471-8222, the person at the end of the line said that I entered and won a trip to the Domincan Rupublic.  When I asked when and where I entered this draw they claimed it was at x-mas time at Walmart but they could not give a location of which Walmart.  They wanted personal and financial information.  I told them off and threatened to phone the police to report them and they hung up. So beware!!

Hey i found the address of this person .....it matched the number of the name of the person and phone # on 411.ca...hope it helps anyway!

i got a call at 9pm frm 1-905-471-8222 saying they were from sunlife insurance, asking me if i wanted to book an appointment becuase a sunlife rep would be in the area.  I told him my kids were sleeping on  and did not appreciate the call at that time and then hung up on him, when i tried to call back it said that the number was not in service.
strange dont you think??

Person called June 24th at 4:45pm asking about my Bell Canada phone and email info. I hung up on him. Believe info was obtained by scam job posting most likely on Craigslist, as I am currently unemployed.  Reverse lookup told me it belongs to H Chung in Markham
