They called and babbled on about high energy bills and that I could save money replacing my hot water heater and asked me how old it was, I told her 2 years old. She went on like she never heard me about if I switch then it will save me money, I asked her how a 2 year old, brand new, high efficiency unit was going to save me money and she stumbled, I knew she had trouble going off script.

The phone kept ringing. I didn't recognize the number, but I picked up because I have a family member who's out of town, and a family friend who's having major surgery today. So, I picked up because I feared something bad had happened. Heard a click and a recorded voice saying, "Please hold for an important message from your energy company."
I don't own an energy company. There is no "my" energy company. I buy energy from an electric company, and a gas company. Both have names, and the employees should know what the hell company they're working for. If either want to talk to me, they'd say something like, "This is Joe calling from XXX gas."
Just your typical rat-b*****d scumbags with an autodialer (because they don't want to pay their employees) trying to con old people.

Just got a call from "Eddie" at Just Energy; he said they're the ones providing us our electrical service. I was a bit puzzled; thought he might have said "Direct Energy"... at any rate he asked for a different name, even though he dialed our number correctly. I told him he had a wrong number and he just said thanks and sorry. Hmm.

They called again today claiming to be Just Energy. Some nonsense about our electrical cost being high & that this could be as a result of our water heater/furnace being to old. They offered to replace our water heater for free to reduce these cost. Not sure how replacing our gas water heater with an electrical one would lower our hydro bill. Too bad who ever is calling is wasting their time by phoning tenants who have no say in replacing these things.
Maybe the police should be brought in.

Number calls and when I pick up nobody is there. They keep calling and calling. Far too many calls like this for someone whose number is on the Do Not Call list, what a waste of time that was.

This company is one of several Energy Suppliers for Gas or Electricity if you are not purchasing from your local utility. In my case they are listed as the Energy supplier for natural gas. They say they are calling their customers to help them reduce energy consumption which they suggest has been going up. In my case the consumption was not. They were looking to replace my hot water heater with a more efficient one that could reduce gas consumption by up to 25% . This depends on whether your heater is 5 or more years old.Apparently the improvement in efficiency is for heaters 4 years old or less. They also suggest that the heater will be clogging up with calcium and magnesium deposits. If you have a water softener I doubt this is a valid point. In any case I checked for them and my heater was 4 years old so they would not be able to make this big savings , and hung up.

I have asked them several times to stop harassing us and we still get calls 3 times a day EVERY day. Do we need to contact a lawyer in order to force them to stop harassing us?

Just Energy.. they keep calling my cell#, which is my only phone# i have... i have used "MY Rogers One Number Service" and used the "blocked" function.. hopefully this wil be able to stop them from calling.
When you call them back at 905-595-5121 all I get is a voice message, then saying leave your name number etc..
Anyhow..

Just a follow up, I was home early from work today and yes they called at 2:51 PM. I had answered and heard the "CLICK" - "being transferred from the auto dialer to a real live person" so I hung up. Just Energy, This person is no longer accepting calls, you have been blocked.

I had just got home from work and was washing up when they had called at 3:43 PM today. The person had asked to speak with me by my first name only. I figured that I don't recognise the voice, I don't know who or what this person wants and chances are it's nothing but bad news anyway... so I replyed with "I think you have the wrong number and hung up" if the calls continue I will block it.

What is wrong with this company? They have called me twice a day every day for 3 weeks in a row and don't even leave a message. I've left messages and talked to representatives telling them I'm on the National Do Not Call List and I'm not interested in their service. I'm with Summit Energy. I've been nice and rude about it. How are they allowed to keep harassing people?
