By snail mail I was informed that I won $250,000.00.  The letter included a check for $4980.00 to be used to cover my expenses to pay Government taxes in the amount of $2995.00.  The sender was Waterhouse Securities, International Claim Dept., 100 Front St., Morriston, Ont H4N-3L4..otherwise identical names as above.  Dated 2/28/09.

Here's the best part...the cancellation message over the Canadian stamp read "Fraud -- Prevent It !" (in both French and English, of course).

Received the same letter, same check, same amount.  Called the number and a man answered calling himself Lewis McGregor.  How does someone whose name is of Scottish descent sound Middle-Eastern???  I hung up immediately, then came onto the Internet and found all of these postings.  The question I have is:  how do these people continue to operate?  Isn't law enforcement aware of this by now?  Shouldn't it be stopped?  Couldn't an arrest be made?  It seems that laws are obviously being broken.

Got the same Waterhouse Securities letter and check, and envelope. Don't cash your check until you call them.......right......send them $2995.00.......right.......let me wash the STUPID off of my forehead.

Got a check in the mail from Greenwich Securities for 4980.00 and supposed to call Lewis McGregor at this number.   Also supposed to send him 2995.00 for taxes on 250,000 us dollars that I allegedly won via Western Union.My letter was signed by a Mary Peters. BE CAREFUL AND DON'T GET CAUGHT UP IN THIS CRAP LIKE MY WIFE THAUGHT I SHOULD DO!!!!  There are other numbers on this 905 list with the same names or very close all with the same theme...take your money...and didn't bother to change anything but the phone number...think they need strung up by their
