Just got a call from  905-629-2834 (Mississauga) . Seeing some posts here I recall that an associate at the Home Depot approached me about a week ago  and asked about my water system....got my ph no. and said "You seem to be qualified for a gift card from Home Depot...pls expect a call one of these days"...it seems to be related to what I read here.

I did the same thing. Just got a call from them.

I complained to the City (Toronto) about water quality issues.  Then a few days later a water test kit is hung on my door.   I assumed the city had contracted out a water test to these guys (LWS).    There must be someone working at 311/water that is handing out or selling our personal information to this company.   I'm going to report this to 311, see what happens.

Hmmm, I just filled out a free water sample thing from Home Depot.  I knew it was a commercial but I thought I would try anyways.  I'm wondering if this is who called me.  Why didn't they leave a message though?

Was living u see the stress that I had lead in mt water for a week. I wasn't home when they showed up to test the water, but when I came home to hear that someone needed to test the water I assed it was the city or the homebuilders. After hearing that we set up the appoinent and, again, I wasn't home when they arrived. I called to see what was happening and when I was to they were trying to sell a filtration system I was so upset I rushed home. Not only were they almost an hour late for the appointment, but I know full we'll that as a taxpayer I am entitled to clean, safe water. That's what my $$ goes towards. No one should EVER pay out of pocket to make their water safe if you're on a system built with your tax dollars!!

I keep getting calls. From them every week. But I don't answer them.

Unwanted call

They call me this morning, I missed the call and checked the number on the Internet as my habit for strange numbers. (905-629-2834 of LWS Inc.) Thank you for your information!

This "company" started calling me NON-STOP, from before I awake until as late as 10.pm....I am a cancer patient, I don't need the stress, I have blocked their #...so my phone does not ring when it is "them" calling, but they still show up in my calls missed list.... What can I do to put an end to this nonsense.... Thank you...

I would't bother with those people, unless you live in a house with a well, otherwise, if you are on the city's water that is directly to your home and you pay for the water (bill), its not worth it.  The only water tank is your hot water.  There is no point for a water tank installed in your home next to your hot water heater.  They are getting phone numbers from the white pages.  They have no idea if you own your own home or in an apartment, they are bad ill informed employee's working as telemarketing for this company to generate customers.

I just got a call from 905-629-2834  which was listed as LWS INC.  This is a new phone #, as I have blocked their old ones.

Company Rain-soft strange did not understand what there servery had to do with the environmental  they want to come to my home and test my water very strange .

I too started getting calls from 905-629-2834 - they come at home, done the water and air system checking and prove to you that your water is very hard water and very bad for your health and so on.  Then after a 2 hrs presentation, they sell their water treatment unit, to you and you have to take a instant decision (right on spot) to take the benefit of their system - if you book / order instantly - you get free installation and a 10 years supply of detergents and cleaning liquids of their company (highly concentrated solutions).

Not sure, how their system works, did not book with them, since I need time to study and then decide.

Now LWS is calling me from 905-629-2834.  Yet another number I have to block.  They will call 2 or 3 times in a row.

They called my house today and the lady couldn't even speak English I had to get her to repeat the name twice both times it was not the correct name so I hung up!

Answered the phone, Caller asked for me by last name, Mr. XXXX.  Caller said she was from "Life Water Systems" and proceeded to ask me questions about my city water and air quality.  At the end asks me to confirm my name, to which I replied "don't you already have my name?"  She gives my first initial as listed in the telephone directory, which I confirmed (didn't give out my full first name) then promptly ended the call.

Seemed suspiciously like a telemarketing scam.

I called this number back and it was a company called Rainsoft.
