I got a text from 919-585-1939 saying hello and my name, I asked who it was and it said that their I phone was going to die and to add it to Y! mesngr textgirlie9.  I replied " no ".

Same thing here.
"hello [name] u there?? haven't heard from you in a while."
"Who's this?"
"haha if u wanna know who this is u gotta add me on Y! msger. my name is textiegirl20"

In no way will I talk to this person, let alone add this scammer on a messenger.

Any word where this number can be reported?

Got the same text but when I text back they said if I wanted to know who they where to add them on yahoo messenger. Now I wish I didn't text back. Good thing I don't have no money for them to scams me.

I got this text from number 7653134097 saying hello to me. When I asked who it was they said if i wanted to know who they where to add them on Y! Messenger. ID is textiegirl87

I got a message from 6174312019 saying the same thing but only it said it was from textgirlie 26 and when i looked the number up it said that it wasnt a cell phone

I got call from a (518) 874-0118 area sayin the same thing. Textgirlie52

i got the same msg on saturday 10/20/12, i txt back asking who it was, no reply..... im reporting this number myself

Same stuff here. Kept wanting me to go to Yahoo msnger to find out who it is.  The ID they gave was textiegirlie87.  I hope I'm not at risk by texting back "Who is this?"

I got that same text tonight saying they haven't heard from me in a while

Got a txt saying "hi Kate you there?? Have not heard from you in a while."

...I'm sure it's some sort of scam. I looked up the number online and there's are several blogs warning that numbers using the area code "908" are fictitious and several people have been scammed out of literally hundreds of thousands of dollars, particularly in Missouri for whatever reason. Those were phone call/email scams but I have a good feeling that this is the same thing.

Has anyone found where this be reported??
