I just found a page talking about an Adam Smith, Badge # 2307 calling from a different number with a scam.  However, this is the number he called me from.  He called my job and then called my phone!

The call received fits all of the descriptions above , indian male with american name.  Miss representing himself as police and threatening that if the debt is not paid for (over the phone) that he would be sending police to our office to arrest for the outstanding debt.  I called the number back and it is a Magic Jack number.  I told him that we were conacting the police and that if we receive another call that we would be contacting the FCC.  The person identified himself as Officer Adam Smith (badge #2307)and that he was trying to collect a debt from Advance Cash USA, RE number HE953772427

Have received several calls from this same guy with an Indian (India) accent and American name claiming that one of our employees owes him money and he's trying to collect.  His calls have increased in number and finally came to my attention.  I took one of his calls and told him that it is illegal to call and harass employees at their work place in an attempt to collect a debt.  He asked for an alternate number for the employee.  I told him that if he was able to dig up this number as a contact, that he could find another on his own and that we do not give out employee's personal information.  I told him that if the calls didn't stop I would report him to the FCC which I plan to do today and suggest that everyone who receives calls like this should do the same.

I RECEIVED A CALL FROM THIS GUY AND I COULDN'T UNDERSTAND A WORD HE WAS SAYING BUT I TOLD HIM THAT HE NEEDED TO SEND ME THE DOCUMENT THAT HE WAS TALKING ABOUT SO I COULD GIVE IT TO MY ATTORNEY. HE TOLD ME THAT I DIDN'T NEED AN ATTORNEY. I SAID OH YES I DID. AND HE KEEP TELLING ME SOMETHING AND I KEPT TELLING HIM ATTORNEY AND HE FINALLY HUNG UP.

I just received this same call. John Smith is posing as a Senior Officer of the US Criminal investigations department. He is trying to scam people into paying back PAYDAY Loans that they never received. He just told me that I would spend Christmas in Jail. He has such a heavy Indian Accent that he could hardly pronounce words of a supposed Affadavit that he was reading. When I asked him to fax me proof of the debt he told me that I would receive my proof after he received my payment. THIS IS A SCAM.

I got a call from a John Smith...with a Indian accent! Telling me the us goverment has put a hold on my ss number and I would be arrest if I did not call him back! WTF is this about!

I've been getting calls from this number....the person has an India accent but an AMerican name.  Calling me at work and leaving harassing calls close to threatening.
