Received call on cell, no message left. Have received several such calls over the past few days - they seem to come in bunches from all different numbers

Call came to my wife's cell phone. Of course no message as this is surely a scam. These are calls made by a machine probably designed to see if it is a "live" number to sell to other scammers. Machines don't care much about the Do Not Call List. Only the honest abide by the law. Authorities can't trace these kinds of calls because the ID is "spoofed", i.e. the caller can put any number in to show up but it is NOT the number from which the call is made. In this case, according to other reviewers, it is the calling number.

Got telemarketing call on my cell phone which is registered on the Do Not Call List. This was a recorded message trying to sell auto insurance.

Missed call on a cell phone that hasn't been used for over a year (since my father passed) and no one has the number to but my family. I called this number back, the opt out key didn't work so I pressed the key to talk to someone and asked the company name, she said it is Insurance Placement Center cold calling numbers to sell car insurance.

This is a call from an automated system stating that based on DMV records you are paying too much for car insurance and they can help you pay less. SPAM.

I just received a call from this number and no message was left. Thanks to Cookie and Nicole for documenting this so that I and others know not to answer. I am documenting this so anyone who checks 880notes sees the date and knows that the calls are continuing.
I am registered with 'Do not call' but I still received these nuisance calls.
