calling id is palnj but i dont know whats that. leaves no message

KEEPS CALLING TIME AFTER TIME, NEVER STOPS.  TOLD THEM TO STOP CALLING, STILL CALLS USING DIFFERENT CALLERS, TOLD THEM TONIGHT TO TAKE US OFF THE LIST.  PREVIOUSLY TOLD THEM WE DO BUSINESS THRU THE US MAIL, NOT ON THE PHONE.  STILL THEY INSIST !

Calls every other day, leaves no message

they have been calling me for 2-3 years 2xs a day. they spoke to me the first year and asked for donation. I busted them for being scammers. Now  harrassing by calling and hanging up. do not donate money.

They been calling 2xs a day for 3 months. Never say a thing just hang -up, very weird. can not call number back. scammers of the worst kind. do not donate money.

This is a PBA fundraising number, but I need to know a way to stop getting this call...I call that number and it is disconnected...very strange....

Just received a call from this number.  Asked for my husband and when I offered to take a message the caller just said that he was calling on behalf of the State Police in Blairstown, NJ and wanted to wish us a happy holiday and new year.

908-854-1942. The call came saying they are collecting donations for PAL (Police athletic league). Sounds so fake. The guy convinced me for a $20 donation and passed it on to another guy to get the details of payment. At this point it was really flaky. The guy sounded like an idiot. I said I will NOT pay on the phone and hung up. Dont fall for this kind of scams.

No message no nothing...this can't be legal

Calls al day, never says anything and never leaves a message. Tonight we just had heavy breathing. We did donate to PAL last year, and they had called ALOT after that one donation. Im wondering if this is maybe a bored employee. I did ask the people calling from PAL to kindly stop calling we were unable to donate, and the man hung up on me......so maybe its a pissed off telemarketer getting back at me ??? Did anyone else have this kind of experience ? Tried to call the number back and it comes as call can not be completed. ( WEIRD AS HELL )

I just got a call from PALNJ 908 854 1942; they claim to collect moeny for atheletics...

i have gotten a call from this number 908-854-1942 also tonight in fact.  a man told me he was with the PAL(police athletic league)and i believed him.  he asked for a donation in exchange for a PAL decal.  i tried to tell him this was not a good time but he convinced me to make a $20.00 donation.  he says the charge will show up as "community ventures". now this unknown person or organization may not be real and they have my credit card #.  what an idiot i am.

A man called my number and wanted to talk to my husband.  I told them my husband was not here and they still insisted to talk to him.  I hung up on him.

I'm a Police Officer and they hound me as well. They are an independent org. and have no affiliation to any legit police agency. What they do is contribute .10 to .20 cents on the dollar and believe they are doing well. If you want to contribute money wisely, contribute to your local DARE program 100% of the money goes towards the kids.

This number calls frequently. In the few times I've
picked it up, I tell them I donate to  the local PAL
and they hang up.

I got a call from this number last night. The caller ID said Blairstown and since I used to know someone from there I thought they had somehow got my new number since moving. When I answered they didn't say anything so I hung up. I'm glad I checked the number via the net. Now I know not to answer the phone and block the caller.

I receive a call from this number a few times a month for last two months.  Appears they have been at it for a while.  To comment on last posters blog, there is software available to hide your number and make it appear as someone elses from what I'm told.  So Im not suprised to hear when you try and call it back it says to check area code...

Just got the same phone call from Blairstown.  I didn't answer.  When I called back got the same message about checking the area code.  Tried reverse directory with no results.

I just rec'd a call from this number but didn't answer. When i tried to call back, it said to check my area code & number and try again. We just came from a campground in Columbia, NJ which is next to Blairtown, NJ. We bought food from the local A&P there and also signed a card in the campground office to help the locals not have to pay for their State Police in the area, but no personal info. was given. I just scribbled a non legible signature.

I just got a call from that number too.  Caller ID said Blairstown, NJ.

Receiving calls from this number on my new cell phone.  No one there.  Obviously not a legit call. STOP CALLING ME!

I have gotten several calls from this number -  it shows up as PALNJ. I believe they present themselves as a "PBA" for "a Jersey city"  PD.  Interesting thing is you cannot call the number back -  and no one I know on the force has heard of them

same number, but this fellow claimed to be with the narcotics something or other. A true multitasking, crime-fighting, call-making derelict.

It has been on the news lately that the police departments do not use telephone soliciting. They use direct mail. This is a scam. Now does anyone have any good ideas on how to scam the scammer?

this caller calls at least once a day. very annoying. no message.

this number is constantly calling me at a awkward hours.  It just called me.  They never say anything when I say hello.  I am quite annoyed with this caller whom ever it is.

This is the second call I've gotten from this number,......never leaves a message, but you can hear the breathing on the other end. Shouldn't this be reported to the police in their area?

Said he was collecting for my local police department. He did not sound credible and pretty much evaded any question I asked him. Very sketchy.

Calling on behalf of the police department for a donation. Another call from this number was for the DEA.
