Better still, when they ask for you, say "please hold on and I'll get him", then put down the phone and go watch TV.  They are used to being yelled at.  Better to waste their time my way.  Less people they have time to bother.  The only thing is you never get to find out how long they stayed on the line before they realized nobody's coming back to the phone.

If this is a real charity the national do not call registry doesn't apply.
It's best to stay calm and simply ask for removal from theat charities calling list.
We are all people. Honest, outbound agent that work for a 5013c charity do soft sale telemarketing are just trying earn a living.
Be nice and human and don't treat them like s***!

Non stop harassment. Calling at all hours on weekends. Filthy POS scammers who have no respect for others. Can't get a Real job bottom feeders.
Shame on the Do Not Call Registry for ignoring our complaints. Our phones are in our homes, where we should have safety, privacy and solitude. These scams should not be infringing on our peaceful enjoyment invading our personal space.
Agreed messing with them is fun. But air horns are most effective.

I too have a 201 area code and no one spoke. I said hello and they hung up... I wanted to pull pranks on the guy/girl... do not call back it can be a scam and if you call back they will most likely charge you

908-968-0115 called here. Didn't answer - Reads Flemington NJ on the caller ID. Had to laugh at John and Steve's antics!

Missed call 12noon sat march 14. I have a 201 area code cell number on the do not call list.

John, you're just like me. I play head games with these a***oles too. I lead them on for a while then if it's a female, I say to them "Hey.... you sound really cute. Maybe we could get together. What color undies are you wearing right now?"  They seem to hang up almost immediately!!! If it's a guy I'll ask if they are touching themselves as we speak? Of course another hang up!!

I just got a call on my cell phone from this number. I answered it but there was no one there. Too bad, I wanted to curse out the a**hole! I love getting these calls. Sometimes I let them give their speech and lead them on, I keep asking questions as if I believe them and are interested. Then when I'm about to give a credit card number, I say " Hey! Where are my pants? I'm not wearing any pants!" then scream like a lunatic!!!!!

Supposedly the gentleman said that his name is Joe Mac and he is from the Department of Veterans affairs.I hung up beca I was pisspissed. Our phone number is on the do not call registry.

Is this the newest telemarketing number? Anyone else get a call from this? No answer on the other end.
