Scam--recorded message saying I have a rebate from Verizon if I will visit website "verizon. <amount of rebate or credit >. Com." Too busy to look up website using secure linux on a virtual machine

Put the number in your contacts list and assign it the ring tone "no ring" or "silence".  That won't stop the calls but it will make them easier to ignore.

Calls every morning about the same time.  Rings, no one on the other end. Tried blocking
through Sprint but says invalid prefix cannot be blocked.

pro tip: Phone numbers don't ever start with "1" in the US  Unless it's the country code, so no phone number will ever start with it. Not prefix, not exchange. Only  the country code. if you see a phone number that starts with 1 after the area code, you know it's spoofed.

Just received an upsetting phone call. I do have a listed number with my first initial and last name. He asked for Mr.... there is no Mr. here with my last name so I said politely "you must have a wrong number there is no Mr... here. He said in a threatening tone that No, he does not have the wrong number just the wrong person and he would call back later.  When I tried to call back the call did not go thru. I have reported it to the police and will check to see what other governing bodies call look into this.

I have 909 167 8448 blocked on my phone...it will ring once then goes to busy on their end...They have not called in a while,, but still do every so often as they did today... seems as though they would get it after a while... Used to get tons of these calls almost every day,, BUT bought a phone (panasonic) that will block up to 30 numbers..Don't get that many calls anymore, But a few still try to sneak in....

Got a call from this phone number 909-167-8448.  Hispanic man asked for someone who doesn't live here. When I told him that person wasn't available (pretending like they live here) he hung up on me.

They also read as "unknown caller" on my id, however my voice mail gave their phone number instead.

Sick of all these stupid robo calls.  Morons.

The phone # (909) 167-8448 continues to call me as well and does not leave a message. A few people were talking about "Magic Jack" which coincidentally, is another # (818) 582-9262 that calls and doesn't leave a message. When I call that # back, it says "The magic jack customer is unable to take your call." I have reported both #'s repeatedly to the do not call registry.

Female caller, breathing heavily.  Used filthy language with strong sexual suggestions.
Gives explicit descriptions of her body parts.  Wants to get together.  Keeps calling.  
Wife is going crazy wanting to know who it is!

Still calling.  Still blocked.  Get lost.

What the hell is 909-167-8448? Already know its a bogus number! I quickly answered and hung up on them to waste their dime!

weird.....had a message on my answering machine but it was the caller talking to someone else with a different last name and pitching him on home repairs. Said he was a construction company from the Fontana area

Same thing, a male voice said inappropriate jokes and then said he represent a construction company and asked if we needed repair work. Creepy!!

I recently lost my wallet and received a call from this number. I suspect that this call is related to the theft.

this person calls a lot wanting to do repairs on our house. we told him we have friends that do that for us.still keeps calling. the person even said he is in the neigborhood & can come over.

Called, did not pick up, no message

They use different numbers to harass people, like 909-164-7558, 909-167-8448. They use magic jack to fool people thinking where they are from.  In fact they are jewish and from israel.

It's been a while since they have called...sadly they don't call enough for me to use up one of my valuable  block number slots.

I continuously receive phone calls-no message from this number. I am on the "Do Not Call List" and this is so annoying.

Shows up as NAME NOT FOUND????? I just let my dog answer,,,he is a beagle mix and howel's like crazy at the phone,,,, our law makers waist there time on BS laws how about fix the whole do not call thing and also make it a federal offence to spoof your I.D.

called a few hours ago and the caller id said it was from turkey... will block number

Got a call from this number.  No ID, no message.  Just more aggravation.

This is from a telephone number prefix assigned to the City of Redlands (as in local government) in Redlands, CA...has called numerous times.  No identification (Name Unavailable).  When asked what he was doing calling from a City of Redlands exchange he became beligerent, stated that his brother hooked him up with Magic Jack...which would still not account for this being a City of Redlands government number.  When asked to remove the number from his call list he started yelling, asking why and what did he say that was wrong and that he could call anyone he wanted.  Hung up and am reporting this number to the Do Not Call directory and FTC.
