I got the same call as D with the same name as David Cooper and the number was 909.680.3053. It was a non English speaking person yelling that I was in serious trouble and I couldn't really make out what he was saying because the English was horrible. I contacted all the credit companies and red flagged my social.

For anyone reading this the calls are a scam run out of the country. They are spoofing a california number. No matter what you offer they will never give you their address and for good reason. They have changed their names many times but have the same method for collecting. They get all their information from identity theft(buy from the criminals) and use it to harass you. DO NOT PAY THEM THIS IS A SCAM.

I received a call from a guy named Kevin today and he said that I owed 900 dollars to US pay day loans and that I didn't pay them back, even though I had a confirmation of the loan payment. I actually believed that I was going to jail when he threatened me because I was not aware of this kind of scam.

I then called my friend who used to be a creditor and he told me to do a couple things to stop the harassment:

1,) File a police report

2,) Call all three credit bureaus (equifax, etc) and have them place a red flag on your social security number (this will be for a total of three months) That way, anytime someone tries to use your social security number, you will be called immediately and notified and you can either confirm or deny the action that is associated with your identity (getting a new phone, car loan, etc.)


I plan on calling them tomorrow to mess with them and tell them that I am going to send them a note... except that when I fax them the note they ask for, I am just going to write in HUGE letters, F*** YOU I HOPE YOU GO TO HELL YOU DUMB A** MOTHER F***ERS. STOP HARASSING PEOPLE AND GET A REAL JOB. IF YOU WERE SMART YOU WOULD HAVE AN INDIAN NAME WITH YOUR INDIAN ACCENT INSTEAD OF HAVING A FAKE A** AMERICAN NAME WITH AN INDIAN ACCENT.  

Last thing: the voicemail is very scripted... this is what he sayd

I got  the same message today  as  D wrote bove, but the name is Son Smith...

I received a call from this number today.  I let it go to voicemail as I didn't recognize the number.  The NOT AMERICAN left a hateful and threatening message.  He said I needed to call him back or reap the reprocussions.  Did not say who he was with just a number to call back.

A guy name Son or John  Smith left me a message today ( Nov 10th 2010) . Below is  what he said...and he spoke English in accent..His message was :

They made their phone calls by using VoIP internet, so it will generate difference # every time they make a phone call...Folk , please do not answer those phone calls or any phone that you don't know recognize the #. If they leave you  threatened messages please  report to police and FTC...  ...

This caller has a foreign accent and goes by the name of Alan. He is harrassing me on my cell phone and my direct line at work. The phone number is 909-446-3023. He states that I need to hire an attorney and yes if you ask any questions he gets very angry and even swares. I have notified the Social security administration due to the fact this man has my social security number. I have notified my employer and proper authorities. These people should be locked up.

Oh and by the way it is against the law for them to harrass you at your place of employment.

I got this call today from Shawn Smith!!!  LMFAO  ok with bad english like that and horrible common names!  This is the second time I have got these calls!!  They said they were going to come and have me hauled away.....I laughed!  I had my 9 yr old daughter call them back many times!  She told them they owe her 1000.00 for girl scout cookies!!!  I think they have blocked my number now....and they freaked when my husband called them back......He is a DEA agent!!!  This is a scam and do not give them any info!!!

Sounds like Father Knows Best Becki! Yes, I got the same number too and told him to send it to my home address any loans that I owe.  Now I know it was a scam.

These MFERS call me when He calls back he is getting cursed out!!! Point blank! Bottom Line!! I've been receiving these calls for the past couple of months--the guy Hindu accent same one everytime changes his name and what company he is with.  He calls my cell and my work place. Not only has he threatened me, but he also threatened my boss telling her she was going to jail the next day at 10 AM.  Of course nothing happened.  I went to the police supposedly they called and told the people to stop harrassing me, but here we are again. Got a call at work threatening me and on my cell--I'm doomed is what he said.  I'm sooooooo scared---NOT!!  Thing is I did get a loan online--automatic deposit and automatic withdrawl when loan was due--plus I have an email showing loan paid in full.  When I told him he said I was a liar.  Jerk!!

i recieved a call from these people back in may 2010 telling me i owed a payday loan company but would give info on how much i borrow or when they gave me the money. they then told me that someone would be at my house/work to pick me up but no1 never came ...then i recieve the same call 6 months later saying the same thing . i believe this is a scam and i have saved all my messages from them so if i have to take legal action with these people i will have all the proof of harassment that i need

I had a message on my voice mail from this number stating that his name was Alvin Russell and that my attorney of record had to call him back as this was a time sensitive matter.  When I returned the call he said that he an an affadavit saying that I had a payday loan from US Cash that they tried to submit for payment without success.  When I tried to get information regarding he could not give me any and basically stated what so many others have said in their posts.  Mainly talking about jail time, calling my employer and to prove what I am saying in court.  When I asked for dates he could not or would not give me anything.  When I started yelling about not understanding and what are you talking about he said he had to cut the call.

This number called my cell phone asking for a man I don't even know. I called them back and ask who  was talking with and his response was "are you deaf", these people are very rude and would not let me talk to a supervisor. The man then proceeded to say he would hve the local police department come and see if I knew the man they were looking for and to be ready for a knock on my door.

yes, i fell victim to this scam today November 3, Received a call from Steven McDonald saying i too had received funds from US Cash in the amount of 986.87 back in August 2010. I did apply for a loan, however, no funds were deposited nor was a approved. He first called my cell, then my office phone. I answered and he told me he was from Law office in California, and that if i didn't pay today that i would be arrested at my job tomorrow. I asked him to provide me with the US Cash information so that i can contact the company directly, He too told me that he will NOT give me this information. He then said to keep my "City Police Department" from coming to pick me up at work i would have to send him a letter stating: I have good intentions to resolve this matter so i authorize a payment for $$$$ on this date. I will not dispute this payment. The requested that i put my credit card number, name as it appears on my card, and the 3 digit code on the back and fax it to 760-874-0316 immediately. I hung up with him and immediatley typed the 909-446-3023 into the google search and well......here i am!  I have called the police department to report this as well as my bank. I have also contacted the social security administration since i believe they also have my social security number.

I received a call from this company today too, for my son. They called 10 times in a row. The number came up unknown number. They finally left a message, a man with a heavy accent from India. I told him number one, calling that many times in a row is harrassment, number 2, threatening to take my son to jail is illegal. Then I informed him that I was reading online about his company and how it's a scam, he hung up on me, lol.

I received the same telephone call. I told them that this is a scam. I told her I would have my lawyer call her. When I called the number back, I could not get through. They are hoping you will be so scarred that you will just give the money to them. The lady said she would call my boss. I told her to f*** off!!! They are so stupid. They think Americans cannot pick up on in Indian accent. Imagine you ask to speak to their boss and everyone is Indian. What work place in America has all Indians???

i received the same exact call...to my office phone and a message threatening me was left in our companies gen mailbox for all to hear...stating me or my atty should call back immediatly and he wishes me good luck if i dont respond immediately.  the same message was left on my home phone.  when i tried to contact this person w/ indian accent, my cell phone would not dial the number and calling from home just went to a voice mail annoucement sayilng this person wasnt taking calls and that the mailbox was full and couldnt take a message.  this is very scary, not to mention embarrassing at work!!  i have since tried to call this number back and continued to not get thru.  My calls were received the samed dates as those posted above..and have not received another since then.

Did anyone else hear the delayed playback of everything you said?  They are recording these calls for a reason. Kinda scary.

I called my local DA just to confirm it was crap and it was. The good news is that now that the number gets fowarded to the Cali DA I have not received another call. This could be terrorists for all I know. I think the FBI should do something about it like revoke " James Anderson " citizenship and send his a** packing. If you need to check your own record goto the website for your local County Clerks office and look up your name that's what I did.

I have been recieving the same calls for the past three days telling me the exact same thing. Did you ever aplly for a loan online? Because I applied for a loan online like a couple months back and found out it was a fraud. Now, I've been recieving lots of emails about loan information.
