Debt Collector
I got a call from this number, but since the area code isn't mine I didn't answer it. They called twice, the second time left a message, saying she was from the state attorney's office and to avoid legal action I needed to return their call. Of course I called back, and the guy answered, Attorney's Office...so I asked what attorney, he said your state attorney you dumb bi***. I laughed and said well this is obviously a scam, no legit business lets you talk to people that way, even if they talk that way to you first. He kept yelling and threatening to call the police, so I to told him to go for it, I said I'll save you time, I'll call em myself. He hung up on me. So I thought turn about is fair play and I continued to call him, and calmly tell him all about his little scam being busted. He finally got really mad and threatened to hunt me down and shoot me with his revolver.

i just recieved a call from a huy claiming to be a attorney by the name of jay parker. saying i took out a loan on feb 20th of this year. I know that is absolutely a lie. Saying they were pressing fraud charges on me and that i was going to jail. Also, that he was faxing the information to the police department and have me arrested. I knew this was a joke because i did not take out a a pay day loan. Also, when i called back he became irrate and loud. i TOLD HIM I WOULD CHECK WITH THE POLICE DEPARTMENT AND he really started yelling and said dont waste his time and wait on the cops. This is truly sad that they would try to scam someone.

I got another call from this same loser. Told him he was not getting any of my money and to stop calling me. He then told me he was going to file for an arrest warrant on me. Told him go for it if you think that will work. About an hr later I get a call from a number that showed Westby Wi. I did not pick up due to I was working. Then this person kept calling I picked the phone up, wow funny it was the same person acting like he was a police officer, saying he was on his way to arrest me ( it was the person saying he was J Parker). Asked him were am I at? He gave me some address which was not mine told him nice try but that's not even close. He then asked me were are you at I said you should know you have my location don't you? He then got very up set at me and said we will find you, I said good luck loser cause your not even a real police officer so go get a life. I then later called this number and talked to the real person who owned this number, lol he said he had no idea someone was using his number to make fake calls. I told him he may want to report it so people don't think he is involved in this scam, he was a little pissed off some one used his number.
This whole thing is a joke, these people are such losers, they have the one guy who is the loud one who makes these calls to scare people into giving them money. There are 4 people who are involved 3 guys 1 woman. J Parker is the loud one, who acts like he is a lawyer and then turns around and acts like he is a police officer. the other 3 are just his puppets who make the calls.
I did call them back on a privet number, they kept hanging up so I kept calling them back, they finally picked the phone up I told them right out I know this is a scam, and they better not call my number ever again. I told them you will get caught in what your doing it may take some years but you will get caught and when you do I will be one of hundreds of people at your trial testifying against you in court. The guy J Parker told me to stop calling them, I told him NO you called my number you tried to scam me. I have every right to call you back, I also said what you going to do send a fake officer to my house? This guy has no idea who he messed with I will call this number everyday just to do it cause I can. I told him that, he got very mad told me to stop calling I told him Ill stop when you stop! Maybe we all should do this everyone who got a call from these people we all should call them everyday like they do to so many people. Give them a taste of how it is like to get unwanted calls. Would love to see that.
We all need to stand up and say enough is enough no more!

This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

I got the same call on Wed. this person could not give me the year of when this loan was taken out nor give me the phone number were I could call to talk to someone that worked in the loan dep of Cash advance. He told me that this number you got is the only number to talk to someone. He said he was a Lawyer and was working on behalf of Cash Advance to get the money I owe them. I told him I know 100% I never got a payday loan from this company. He told me the loan I took out was for $300 and I could pay $150 that day and pay the rest off this Friday. I told him I did not have that kind of money. He then said he was going to call and have me arrested. I told him again and again I did not have a loan from this company and told him by law you have to send me doc. on the amount, name of company with an address. He said he did send out an letter back in March told him I never got any letter. Funny thing is when any kind of collector calls they have all the information on the money you owe someone and this person could not give me the date or year and could not give me a number to call.
So me being me I looked up the number my self talked to a person at the Head office of Cash Advance and they told me I never applied for a loan from them and I was not in their records. I gave them the information on this so call place they said that the Name Jay Parker is on the FBIs list of scammers. I also called and filed a complaint with the Wis Dept. of consumer reports they told me this is a scam and to stop contact ASAP to block all phone numbers they are calling of. They call off a program call Magic Jack which shows they are calling from the USA but really they are calling from another country.
So me being me again I called them back on a privet number and used my other phone to record them, they picked up I did not say anything, they did not hang up I recorded them for over a half hr calling people 3 men 1 woman with very strong indian accsents threating to send the police to arrest these people. Saying at some point once time they were lawyers, next one saying they were law enforcement. then when they were done laughing and slapping each others hand like it was a joke. Then they finally saw the phone was still on and hung it up. But little to late got them on a recording, lol love it.
so for anyone who gets a call from this place get as much information out of them look things up your self and report them. They are wanted by the FBI.

So this is the 2nd day he called me. He asked if I was ready to make my payment. I told him that my brother in law is a sergeant on a police force and he will be investigating the number. A few minutes later I heard the dial tone, he quickly hung up the phone!

This man called my job, and proceeded to tell me that I had a payday loan of 300 dollars to pay back. I listened and he then told me if I didn't pay it back i have 3 charges pending against me. So I tried to question him. I asked if I could pay with my bank card. ( Not that I was... I am skeptical about paying any bill on the internet, much less the phone.) He told me I needed to get a green dot money pack, not the card itself, and that he needed the 14 number digit on the back. So I asked if I had a case number he proceeded to give me one... so I wrote it down and while talking to him I looked it up in the clerk of courts... guess what? Zero records found. So I went further. He told me they close at 5, so when I got off at 715pm, I had my fiance called from his phone, the guy didn't want to give his name,  so my fiance told him that he was going to turn his number in to our local sheriff's office. The caller got mad and irate, then hung up. People need to get a job and stop hustling other people for their money, just plain lazy!

wow! Last night my husband and I applied for a payday advance. This guy called from this number claiming that he was going to issue 3 warrants out for my husband for identity theft. immediately, I started freaking out asking what I could due to fix it. First off, we just simply applied for a loan with OUR correct info. He verified my bank name but, apparently didn't have the account number because he was asking for it to pay $300 to settle outside of court and be done with these so called charges. well, I  decided to Google the number due to so much fraud going on. Thank God I did!!!! I instantly realized it was a scam thanks to this site!!! I told him I wasn't paying anything to him. He started yelling at me saying he was calling my husbands job to get him fired. I called his employer to make them aware and of course she confirmed that they had been calling but, they had not answered the phone. She Googled the number as well and said for us not to worry that they would never fire him for something like this and false accusations.

I have been getting threatening calls from this number. He said that I have a payday advance that I never paid back. He verified my ssn, my date of birth, etc and said that if I did not pay him money today that he was sending the police to arrest me today and that it would make me lose my job and embarrass me and that my friends and family would have to bail me out of jail. He said he was sorry he couldn't help me and that the police were on the way. I asked him to send me proof of the debt he said that I owe and he told me he didn't have to send me proof, that he has all my personal information and how did I think he got it. He said he was with the State's Attorney Office and that criminal charges were filed against me.

I applied for a payday loan. Then the nightmare began. Before I even got the money, these people called me stating that the were from the state attorneys office and that a law suit was being filed against me. I was freaked out. I have paid back all of the payday loans. This guy called me 3 times today. I hung up on him. He called back and told me not to hang up on him. i told him that this was a scam and hung up again. As I was talking to him, I googled the number. This website came up. I then got a 3rd call. I told him that if this was legit that he should send me paperwork. I am a hard working person and i paid back the loan i received. I am tired of the harrassing calls. They shouldn't call you at work. If they are a legitimate business send me a letter.  i also applied for a loan in April or May of last year. The phone calls state that i will be put in jail. So far 9 months later i have yet to be hauled into jail.
One word of wisdom... Do not pay these people.

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the nation's consumer protection agency, is warning consumers to be on the alert for scam artists posing as debt collectors. It may be hard to tell the difference between a legitimate debt collector and a fake one. Sometimes a fake collector may even have some of your personal information, like a bank account number. A caller may be a fake debt collector if he:

?is seeking payment on a debt for a loan you do not recognize;
?refuses to give you a mailing address or phone number;
?asks you for personal financial or sensitive information; or
?exerts high pressure to try to scare you into paying, such as threatening to have you arrested or to report you to a law enforcement agency.

If you think that a caller may be a fake debt collector:

?Ask the caller for his name, company, street address, and telephone number. Tell the caller that you refuse to discuss any debt until you get a written "validation notice." The notice must include the amount of the debt, the name of the creditor you owe, and your rights under the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
If a caller refuses to give you all of this information, do not pay! Paying a fake debt collector will not always make them go away. They may make up another debt to try to get more money from you.?Stop speaking with the caller. If you have the caller's address, send a letter demanding that the caller stop contacting you, and keep a copy for your files. By law, real debt collectors must stop calling you if you ask them to in writing.
?Do not give the caller personal financial or other sensitive information. Never give out or confirm personal financial or other sensitive information like your bank account, credit card, or Social Security number unless you know whom you're dealing with. Scam artists, like fake debt collectors, can use your information to commit identity theft ? charging your existing credit cards, opening new credit card, checking, or savings accounts, writing fraudulent checks, or taking out loans in your name.
?Contact your creditor. If the debt is legitimate ? but you think the collector may not be ? contact your creditor about the calls. Share the information you have about the suspicious calls and find out who, if anyone, the creditor has authorized to collect the debt.
?Report the call. Contact the FTC and your state Attorney General's office with information about suspicious callers. Many states have their own debt collection laws in addition to the federal FDCPA. Your Attorney General's office can help you determine your rights under your state's law.

I had this number call me as well and scared me.  They had my social security number, my email address, and personal information.  They said that I received $500 from a payday advance and that if I didn't reply that I would be arrested and that there were 3 criminal charges being filed against me.  They said I would lose my job and it would ruin my reputation.  He told me that they have confirmed that the money was not put into my account, but that it is my responsibility until they find the person that got the money.  He called again and left a message and said that my nightmare is about to begin.

Called and said I had a payday loan and I never paid it. I told him I never had a payday loan and to stop trying to scam people. Then he started saying that I am on probation. I have never been arrested for anything. He said since I am on probation, I am a repeat offender and the police were coming to get me. I told him again to stop scamming people. He said the phone call was being recorded and my rudeness would be used against me in court and I would be in jail for 9 years.
