I applied for a short term loan a few months ago and and was scammed out of $300.  Ever since then I get numerous calls every day starting as early as 8 am and as late as 9pm. All the calls come from a different number but it the same man calling me and using different names. When I was scammed he was calling from a Washington DC number about a grant for $7500. I had to prove I had at least $290 to qualify for the grant. I sent it money gram to someone I thought was in Washington DC but after the investigation it turns out the money really went to someone in India. The next set of calls I received from this man came from California phone numbers where he told my voicemail over and over that he is calling from John A Best law firm in California and there is a warrant out for my arrest for non payment of a loan to cash advance USA. He said I needed to call him or have my lawyer call him or he will notify my local authorities and have police come to my home and job to arrest me. I never applied for or ever had a loan with cash advance USA and if there was a warrenr out for my arrest I don't think I would get call about it. BTW, there is no John A Best law firm in California. Today I got another call from this guy and now he is in Florida and I have been approved for a $5000 loan I did not apply for. I already filed a complaint with FTC. The only problem is this guy is using multiple magic jack phone numbers and disconnects them often and gets new numbers so he is very hard to track. I just ignore the calls now but I wish there was a way for the calls to stop. So annoying.

i keep getting calls from this number expect they say they are calling from law group of McKinley and represting cash advance america and i owe money to cash advance and i need to start purchasing money pak load it with money up too 500 and call them back with the number what should i do

This is extremely insane the barrage of phone calls received from a multitude of phone numbers.  Since yesterday morning, I must have received approximately 100 or more phone calls all back-to-back.  Finally, today someone decides to leave a message from this #909-666-8382.  It was a male with a very, very thick Middle Eastern accent who said his name was Bob Kruger or Kroger from American Financial Services.  American, Yeah, Right!  LOL!  He went on to say that I was approved for a loan in the amount of something to $5000 and that I needed to call back right away to receive my loan.  Mind you, I did not apply for a loan.  Here is the deal with all this garbage, these people are very obviously scammers and desperate to get victims.  I believe these are the same people who were calling me months ago saying I owed on a loan that I did not have.  Now they have found another way to try to get my attention and potentially scam me.  This will never happen!  Unfortunately though they do have some of my info (Hackers) but obviously not enough too where they still need to speak with me to execute their scam.  Fat chance of that ever happening!  They better not hold their breath too long.  I wish there was more we could do to stop this but there is not.  Unfortunately, these callers are more than likely outside of the USA.  Beware!  Don't allow yourself to be taken by any of these people.

If you receive a phone call, fax or letter in the mail from an individual claiming to be from the IRS but you suspect they are not an IRS employee, contact the IRS at 1-800-829-1040 to determine if the IRS has a legitimate need to contact you. Report any bogus correspondence.

Said he was from the IRS said his name was Steven Haushner was calling for my wife said she was in serious trouble. Told him to explain the problem to me but had a hard time understanding him asked him if I could get someone else to talk to me but he was trying to tell me he was speaking english I called back the number and I am going to talk to a real person at the IRS. So people look out for this guy!!!

I just got scammed out of 183.33 this is b***s*** plz don't fall for it they can't even speak English

scammers keep calling my phone offering to continue with my loan application and send money for them to deposit this into my account. I played along and then told them I was investigating them for fraud and they hung up but after a week are back calling my cell phone.

Unfortunately, there are a lot of people who are so desperate they WILL fall for this.  The fact remains that paying an advance fee for a loan is illegal in the US.

I just got a call from these people as well telling me I was preapproved for up to 5000 and that all I needed to do was purchase and prepaid card put 200 on it which is what there monthly payment would be and the funds would be transferred within an hr. I proceeded to ask questions about this and was disconnected. I tried calling back and asked for a supervisor and was informed they have no supervisor and that I could either trust them or cancel my application. I then asked them to delete information they had of mine from their data base and was informed that they couldn't do that. I was amazed at how stupid these scammers thought I would be.

Yeah i got a call from that same number and same name but then they left another message with a different name, man scammers can't even make up their mind huh lol

I got a message Friday no name just message saying I or my attorney need to call him back and if I do not the case will move forward and all he can do is wish me luck as the case unfolds I didn't call back tell Sunday closed. I guess when I call the no message or ringing just a beep.

Same number different guy. Told me there was a legal case against me. Told him in the US if there was an actual legal case against me I would have received written notice. And maybe he didn't know that because he was calling from a different country. He then told me to suck his f'ing d...

Really? And I was supposed to believe he was an attorney. HA!

Steve Harrison called saying I need to have my attorney call him or call him back right away. Scammers can't even speak English!!
