I was Robo called on my New-to-me Cell line. At the time, I was deep into the IVR menu on a customer service line. When I swapped to the call waiting (the robo call) *Both* robot systems got confused. Very annoying.
Since the information here and found elsewhere seem to indicate that this is a KC metro area caller, I looked them up in my home network copy of the AT&T yellow & white pages. (You can download exact directory copies of phone books from many carriers.) Neither the number or any of the companies mentioned showed in in the built in search.

I got a call from this number and they wanted me to go to a study, so I did. They tickled me with different feathers for an hour then let me go. Made $75 for it. Would do it again if they call.

Looks like they are in the BBB for two of their locations if you want to check it out. They are NOT accredited. One was rated with an A while the other is a C.

That means someone gave them your number as they are totally word-of-mouth. Someone you work with, know from church, little league, etc most likely gave them your number. They call periodically and they do pay well.

Keep getting calls from these people, despite the fact that I am on the DONOTCALL list. web forum indicates this is field house market research, kansas city.

Agreed! Very good company and they pay you for making things better for "US" the consumer.

This company *only* gets your number if you sign up to be part of paid focus groups (it doesn't matter if you're on a No Call list if you give your number to someone), so quit panicking people. If you don't want to get paid to give your opinion, just pick up the phone and say no thanks.
When they call you, they're just calling to ask a few questions and see if you qualify for the study they're currently trying to fill. If you do, you go sit in a room for an hour and talk about your opinion (I've done one on cat litter, another on coffee, another on cell phone marketing and commercials).
And if you don't want them to ever call you again, just tell the person on the phone. It really isn't that hard.

Someone called my cell phone asking for my husband. He's not registered on this account...first weird thing. Second...I called back to ask how they got my number. Lady said the computer randomly dials numbers. Hrm. So then how did they get my husband's name? They said they were a market research company.

This is a terrific company and I believe you have to actually give them your number for them to call you. Or a friend may refer you/give them your number. So if they call... Why not just answer and talk to them? Then, if you want to be removed, tell them so. How hard is that? Take a little time out of your day to be nice to someone just doing their job.
People are so uptight and get angry about calls they "don't want". Big deal. Let some things in life go and speak kindly to others, even if you don't know them.

This calling number was persistent for several days, sometimes more than once a day. My number is on the do not call list. It doesn't matter that is a legitimate business. I do not want their calls even if they are not selling anything. Last night they called again so with the number ID'd I looked them up on the internet.

My #, too, is on the do not call registry but I got a call from these people today.

Several calls from this number over several days went unanswered. Our number is on the do-not-call registry.

I looked up the number on Google 913-693-2399 which showed up on caller I.d. It is for Field House a company I've done focus study groups with. I made $75.00 cash just for showing up a couple years ago. They had enough people that qualified before me that evening. I went another time previously and participated in a study and received free gifts to try at home along with cash. They always call with questions to see if you qualify to come in and participate and make money just for giving your ideas or trying products.

I work for them sometimes too. This is for real. They gather up people to sit on focus groups. One time I looked at menu boards for movie theaters and told them which ones were more attractive, made sense to the consumer, etc. I got paid $75 for that. The other time I showed up at my appointment time but by the time my name came up, they had already filled the number of positions for that particular focus group and they still gave me $50 just for showing up. P.S. I live in Kansas City. Email or IM me if you want at kcpokergal@yahoo It's actually pretty fun and good money for an hour or two of your time. = )

I got this too. I believe it is a market research place in overland park. i had a friend that worked there and he got me one focus group that paid 75 bucks. after that, they call periodically to see if your interested in another study. almost without fail, you will answer a preliminary question wrong and be declined for the study. but, it is a legit place and if you want to makes some cash, it may be worth your while to listen to the person.
