Received a robo-call from (914) 145-8854 & said I My "Bill(s)" and said something about lowering electric rates. I don't have any Bills under my name. This number keep calling 3x during the past week.

These phone mollesters just refuse to quit their hobby.
If you have an Android phone, save contact, group under phone mollesters, go to contact, edit, program to straightto voicemail (checkbox).

Unfortunately, you cannot block a number that starts with a "1" because it's not a legitimate number. Tried it already. These companies are scum.

robo call - using a spoofed # - lowering electric rate (hog wash) - do NOT press or select ANY options.

Thanks for the info. I'll check it out. Unfortunately experience with calls to our land line has shown that these "people" keep changing their numbers to get around being blocked. But I'll still call Verizon tomorrow and give them the couple numbers I have so far. Any help is appreciated. Thanks again.

I have verizon. You can block any number for three months. That is usually long enough for the marketers or pollsters to lose your number. Call your carrier. They likely also have the service

Received a call from (914) 145-8854 on October 8, 2012 @ 3:38 pm. I was expecting a call back from a doctor so I picked up even though I did not recognize the number. The robo-call said something about lowering electric rates. I just hung up. Our land line is infested with these types of calls lately, but this is the first "annoyance" call to my cell-phone. So it begins.

just did, i refused it. Phone numbers just do not start with a one, usually. Certainly not in this area.
