getting very annoying!

No problem.

Like all here I am very irritated at the extremely unwanted, in-your-face brashness of the phone calls and decided to do something about it.

1. I Googled "unwanted phone calls from WCA"
2. I selected the second suggestion shown below:

Jan 13, 2011 ... This number continues to make unwanted phone calls to my free cell phone ... also started calling from 805-309-9537 wtf. Caller: wca ...

3. I read the messages, including the one I copied here
4. I followed the recommendation as I've already tried to use WCA's "opt out" (but really opt in?). So far it seems to have done something. Hopefully positive.
5. I decided to look up the actual phone number that I received the calls from in this website to see what folks here have experienced
6. I saw the recommendation I tried hadn't been posted here yet
7. I copied the recommendation from 714-551-9744 and posted it here.

YMMV, but I'm hopeful.  Your suspicion is entirely justified in my IMHO.

I was wondering what this number was? (they've called me 2-3 times a day!). I did as Chris suggested. Of course it will take 7 days for them to process my request. Geesh...

Hey there Chris Just wondering how u found this out? not questioning you but like to know how you found it out. before i try it. don't want to be sent to some other s*** or have other a** company calling with other numbers you know? thanks

Phone call on my work cell phone from WCA saying "You or a family member opted to receive..." Several times I pressed the proper number to opt out but the calls kept coming, wanting to give me a $25 Walmart gift card in exchange for something or other. Pressed 1 to speak to a live person. When the live person started speaking with their spiel I interrupted and said "Okay, listen to me very carefully." Before I got to the end of that sentence I was shunted to an automated voice asking me to press a number or enter my phone number to opt out.  Hung up and wound up here looking for answers.

I got this advice and followed it from elsewhere on this site:

Okay.

1.  Call the number back (don't answer it).

2.  While the pre-recorded message is going on, press the number 5 to take you to the removal menu.

3.  While that pre-recorded message is going on, again begging you to stay a "member" due to all the great benefits you will receive, press the number 2.  DO NOT wait for the message to end, otherwise it will not accept your cancellation."

We'll see what happens.

My husband is borrowing my phone and said this number called.  I guess he was suspicious of it.

Wont answer someone who will never leave a  message? This is my company Cell Phone..

No message, I don't answer these calls.
For all intents and purposes, I am tempted to get a block for all 800 & 900 #'s incoming from now on.

They called my cell. It was an automated recording saying i won a $20 Target gift card.

Didn't pick up. Left no voicemail.

I'm sure it's a debt collector, didn't pick up...no voicemail left...
