Aww, hell no, not responding! Goofy me, I texted back "who is this?", since myMom lives in the 914 area code.  Asked my husband what he'd do, he said wait to see if they text back, and then I read all of your comments.  A***oles, I'm sick of people targeting us via cell #s for one reason or another...and what did I just do to allow them to do so by texting back?!?!  Hopefulle nothing.

Report the Yahoo ID to Yahoo abuse and the phone number to Text Plus:
If you are receiving anything that makes you feel uncomfortable or harassed,  please email abuse@textplus.com immediately with the textPlus number/username and your number (that is, the number receiving the inappropriate messages).

They get your info from Facebook, probably one of those apps.  They can access your information if you allow the app.

Security company Cloudmark created a spam messaging reporting service that nation?s major wireless carriers agreed earlier this year to start using. Now, customers of AT&T Mobility, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, Sprint and others can forward their text spam message to 7726. The mobile phone carrier will ask customers for the phone number that?s linked to the spam message so they and Cloudmark can start investigating.

I received a text from someone at this number, using my name like they knew me. Then they wanted me to Yahoo messenger them at txtflirty3 ... they would not id themselves even though I asked more than once.

Does anyone know who this is?
