Played an entire song--3 minutes on my answering machine.

Called and did not leave message.  I just noticed the name and number when I was clearing my phone registry.  The name listed was Mathai Boncy which is a name that was seen on their caller ID by several other people.  I was curious and checked here because I don't know the name or phone number.  If I'm at home, I don't answer calls where I don't recognize the name or phone number and I don't answer calls either that are names of organizations that are allowed to solicit.

I GOT THIS CALL  THAT SAID NEW YORK  914-826-7782. ANSWEING MACHINE PICKED UP AND NO MESSAGE LEFT. NO MESSAGE MEANS TO ME  WHO EVER CALLED ARE UP TO NO GOOD. I HOPE THESE NO GOOD THEIFS GET WHAT THEY DESERVE.  THEY SHOULD CALL THEIR FAMILY MEMBERS AND SEE IF THEY LIKE TO BE BOTHERED BY THIER ANNOYING CALLS.

Called 8/2/2013 at 11:19 AM.  I was on vacation at the time and no message was left.

It does no good what so ever if your name is on the do not call lists. You will always continue to get them

Got a call Said Out of Area from 914-826-7782 i was not home when it came threw i called back said # u are calling is disconnected....

I get so many of these fake calls everyday, seven days a week, that I never answer my phone at all anymore and have all phones turned to "off" or "silent".  I check Voice Mail once in a while just to make sure no one important that I really need to call back has left a message.  I average about 15 nuisance calls a week and hate these people with a passion.

I got the call at 10:30 am. I did the same as you and got the same result.

I received a call this morning from 914-826-7782 and it hung up after third ring.  This is obviously another one of the "scammer" calls I've been getting nearly daily this summer.  Is there any way in which they can be blocked...they are most annoying, especially the pre-rrcorded ones in which one can have no input to find which is going on.

Called the number back, not a working number,  go figure, this has to stop, why are WE No protected from scammers.

Missed call from this number on my cell at 10:10am this morning. No message was left. Auto-dialed it back and voice message said, Not a working number!!! Scam or not?

Unknown Name on caller ID.  From other people reporting I guess they found out not to leave name on the caller ID.  Did not answer.  We are on Do No Call also and keep reporting creeps like this but apparently Do Not Call system does not care.  Bet if they were calling a senator or congressman the Do Not call would care then huh?

Got a call from 914-826-7782 Aug.2nd @ 10am & caller ID said, Ferry Dobbs, NY, so didn't answer & they didn't leave message on answering machine. I called that number back & said it's not a working number, no good.

Obviously spam call judging by the above, so it goes on my blocked number list.  Thank goodness for my phone having that since being on the DO NOT CALL list is useless.

Lobbyists wrote the law on DNC. If the exclusions were a portal, you could fly a C-5 through it.

These forums are for call recipients to share their experience and optionally offer advice. They are *NOT* direct open channels to the phone bank boiler rooms we comment upon. This site loses what makes it valuable if you don't contribute what you've observed. Please respect this.

Besides, the telescammers aren't going to much care who answers or moved away or died so long as they score a sale and/or extract private information.

Your scamming callers do not maintain this site or this web page. No callers can magically determine which numbers should not be called based on anonymous comments. Criminals who mass-dial and violate the Telemarketing Sales Rule have no plans to stop calling you no matter what you say and regardless of your DNC registrations. They need first to be sued or jailed.

Your scamming callers are not going to "please stop" anything based on anonymous remarks posted to a call database website they do not read or control.

Received a call from "Windows" telling us that out computer was full of virus and they would clean it off for us because we were Windows customers or some reason like that.  They had me type in ms/cdm and up came all these errors on the screen.  To fix this they had to get into the computer when we said no they were all mad and said they would fix my computer so it would never work again.  total fraud.

Just received this call no message, I did not answer as did not know this number. Was kind of scary for me as I have family in NYC and of course nervous something might be wrong. Not knowing the number, I just waited to see who was leaving message...Of course there was NONE. It said New York and number said1-914-826-7782. After reading theses posts, I guess I did the right thing by not answering...What a shame. I also am on the DO NOT CALL LIST, but, guess that does not work at times...

Caller leaves no message..when number is called back,message says not a good number.

Most likely a low life criminal,trying to steal your identity or to rob you.

Just get a phone that identifies the caller and don't pick up if you don't know who it is. Panasonic has a very effective set of phones that screen calls.
