Who is the owner?

Was the name on the bottom of the check Michael Vest. I need to know if ive been scamed the check seems to be authentic through Bank of America. If u can comfirm any of this please let me know immeadiatley. My email is Outstandinghand@yahoo.com

I also received a check from this individual via Facebook Marketplace sales.  I thought that it was a scam, and once I received the check (overpayment of more than 100%) and instructions to "wire the difference via Western Union" I confirmed to myself that it was a scam.

I create a file with the FBI/National White Collar Crime Central http://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx, I would highly recommend that everyone else who feels like they were scammed by this person or group files a complaint.  I am concerned that someone is going to fall for this crock and be out of pocket - will be such a shame.

I got the same exact check, it looks authentic.  But I researched both the number on the UPS shipping document and on the check and they were both of these numbers.  This was for a transaction on banjohangout.org.

I didn't receive a call, rather an offer on a facebook marketplace item. I got the check with a phone number which is this one.

The company was Caribbean Oil Corporation in Larchmont, NY
